About this deal

This box includes a host of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Bodyguard, accompanied by daemon-touched war machines – three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler – all able to withstand a huge amount of punishment before crashing into the enemy lines in an inexorable wave of stench and decay. The Lumineth Realm-Lords roll out the Vanari Shining Host as well, with archers, cavalry, and of course, a staunch line of spears to hold the enemy at bay. GW announced via their weekly teaser that there would be a preview for new battleforces on Thursday, November 18th. Whenever Space Marines go to war, they strike hard and fast, and the Shieldbreaker Strike Force is set up to do just that. With enough Troops to hold down objectives, an elite cadre of veterans can focus on bringing down their toughest foes in bloody close combat. Orks know what they like, and they like fighting. Anything that makes them faster, shootier, or choppier is fair game, and the Killdakka Warband is made up of all sorts of Boyz armed with whatever they can find to krump their foes with.

A favourite treat of the Adepta Sororitas, when they aren’t praying, purging, training, or praying. Overwhelm your opponent with the explosive might of the Space Marines. This is a Battleforce that hits hard and fast thanks to a Storm Speeder and 29 Primaris Space Marines, including some fairly chunky Gravis-armoured battle brothers. The Revenant Legion is a party in a box with 66 models including a bestial Vengorian Lord, five barded Blood Knights, 20 Deathrattle Skeleton warriors and, count ‘em, 40 Deadwalker Zombies.

GW Announces 40k Christmas Battleforces 2021 Lineup

While those of you in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand can start collecting your bone tithe right now, this box will be dropping a little later for the rest of the world. The fierce eyes of a Sister Dogmata command this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacresants, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank. Umm…yes. After the change from the Balance Datasheet, this battleforce box is looking pretty spicy. Enjoy the updated Core units in the box and use it as a freshly awoken Necron force. You’ve got lots of room to grow with some solid options you’re going to find a use for all the time. Not a bad starter force or an addition to an existing one. Standard Sisters and Sacresants, but the draw here are the 2 tanks. The Immolator is cool but nothing beats what GW have described as a “long-range, missile-launching pipe organ cum-temple” no, Seriously, they did. (cue childing giggling) Commanded by a Mortisan Boneshaper and a Soulreaper, these immortal debt collectors include 20 Mortek Guard and three Necropolis Stalkers – or three Immortis Guard, if you prefer. A Gothizzar Harvester refashions errant bones into new constructs for the army, while the Mortek Crawler hurls the gift of caskets of screaming souls at besieged enemies.

These mammoth Battleforces are to be stuffed into delivery cannons near you very soon, so keep an eye on Warhammer Community for more information. If the skeletal-robot theme of Necrons is more our speed, then this box also comes with a great selection of different types of models to give you a sense of what a full army might be like. The Warhammer Vault is also getting spooky as the lore from Malign Portents is conjured into digital format, alongside White Dwarf 467, from August this year which goes deep on the design of Dominion, as well as rules for frostbitten battles between Hive Fleet Leviathan and the Dark Krakens in Flashpoint Octarius.

40k Christmas Battleforces: What’s the Value?

Add a little more finesse to your slaughter with the Sybarite Blade-Carnival, which collects a cavalcade of elite Slaanesh Mortals in one place. When these peerless warriors aren’t preening, they’re a surgical strike force comprising 30 miniatures – perfect for tearing reality in two and summoning gaggles of Daemonettes. The Rohan Stronghold comes with a veritable village of houses, as well as palisade walls and watchtowers which let you make your very own Rohan settlement.

A Psychomancer cryptek leads the force, with a unit of 10 Necron Warriors and three Scarab Swarms making up the durable centre. The real killing work falls to a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, three Ophydian Destroyers, five Flayed Ones, and two huge Canoptek Doomstalkers.December 2021 – and sorry if that’s not 100% clear. All we have to go on right now is the few words the community team have put out. If you're after a nigh-unstoppable force that advances inexorably into battle, and against which even the fiercest assault will break, the Plaguefester Warband is the set for you. In addition to a solid force of infantry in the form of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Terminators, you'll get the supporting firepower of a Plagueburst Crawler and a trio of deadly Myphitic Blight-haulers. All six of these battleforces are coming this December, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community for more details. Five speedy Pteraxii, five stealthy Ruststalkers, and three Serberys Raiders make up the core of this battleforce, supported by the Ironstrider Ballistarii’s powerful cognis lascannons. Behind them marches a unit of 10 Skitarii Rangers and their Tech-priest Manipulus commander, ready to examine whatever it is that the Talon has recovered. The Christmas Battleforces are here, accompanied by a Rohan Stronghold in a box, and one very swish looking Praetor for The Horus Heresy.

Orks have been dominating at tournaments lately, and conveniently enough, this box seems to come with an assortment of models that slot right into those meta lists if you wanted to try them. The fierce eyes of a Sister Dogmata command this force, which is composed of five Celestian Sacrosancts, 10 Battle Sisters, an Immolator armed transport, and a mighty Exorcist tank. Give the gift of Dakka this Christmas. This box contains a veritable tide of greenskins, with a whopping 20 Boyz, five Nobz, a swarm of Gretchin, a Big Mek, a Deffkilla Wartrike, and an Orky plane that can be built in four different ways. Necrons Battleforce: Worldscour Legion Each one of these boxes allowed players to make a Patrol Detachment at the very least. However, some are closer to filling out full armies (like the Tzeentch box) than others. You can find out more about last year’s pricing here.
