The second entry on our list of the biggest frogs in the world, female smoky jungle frogs grow to around 19cm (7.5 inches) with males being slightly smaller. They have a large head with a rounded snout and a tan body with red-brown markings. Preferring tropical and subtropical forests and swamps, these frogs are widespread throughout Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru. They eat a wide range of prey, including spiders, lizards, snakes, bats, birds, and even other frogs.
