These fans are using Fluid Dynamic Bearings having a life span of 300,000 hours and a 6-pole, 3-phase motor which all in conjunction, produce less vibration and are heat efficient as well. The SST-SF120 fans also employ the same bearing and same motor. The fans were run at Medium, High-Speed, and Ultra-High-Speed dials for each run. Let’s take a look at the result. Benchmarks & Testing scores.

The tip clearance plays a significant role when it comes to sustaining the high pressure while delivering the flow as it reduces the turbulence. The fan has 9 blades with a textured surface in an altered layout. If you want to use a radiator as obstacle, you need to make the part connecting a radiator and wind tunnel. Using the actual radiator is recommended, because the result of straws bundle and a radiator can be different. The frame design of fan espeacially affects the efficiency for a radiator. Square frame shapes tend to be more efficient on a radiator. It would be nice to be able to reflect these differences in your test. You can easily find a cheap 120mm 1-row radiator on Aliexpress. I really like BeQuiet fans, but my preference is to use the much cheaper Pure Wings fans that don't have all the fancy frame and rubberised crap and cost about 1/3rd what these cost. All electric motors, regardless of their quality, will vibrate/hum. Depending on the PC chassis, it can be quite obnoxious because of resonation. I couldn't handle using fans without rubber mounts on my previous case, a Phanteks Ethoo Evolv, because without them the entire case would literally hum/buzz.

Building wind tunnel like Figure allows to get easily, and ∫dA should be area of a vane of an anemometer. So the air volume we want can be obtained by simply multiplying them: ∫vdA=∫dA=A I’m planning on finding a large radiator (in excess of 8″x8″) to simplify the matter. I am also considering cutting a viewing port in the wall and placing crepe paper to show the airflow, although I’m not sure if this is useful without a paper with a scale on it on the far side, nor am I sure where it would be best to place it and how much it’d distort the results. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? With the new Silent Wings 4 series, be quiet! has focused on improving static pressure, which is of vital importance when mounting fans to heat sinks or liquid cooled radiators. Compared to the award-winning Silent Wings 3 series, the fan blades have a different shape and feature a lower tip clearance (1.0 mm for all Silent Wings 4 models versus 1.2 mm for Silent Wings 3), while the funnel-shaped air intake is replaced with a funnel-shaped air outlet, dispersing the air over a greater area. These changes have made a drastic improvement in static pressure, therefore making Silent Wings 4 a top choice for heat sinks or radiators, while keeping its noise levels impressively low. be quiet!, introduces the Silent Wings 4 and Silent Wings Pro 4 fan series. High-end fans are built for maximum performance in cases, on heat sinks, and on radiators. Fans can be configured for low noise, a noise/performance balanced mode, or maximum performance. For the highest performance, optimized fan blades, especially for heat sinks designed radiator corners and a speed switch with 3 selectable speed options, Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm PWM is the most progressive, performant, and versatile fan by be quiet!

So the question remains whether at lower or higher noise levels and, more importantly, to what extent the parameters of BeQuiet! scale with reality. If we assume that the specs vs. reality coefficients are unchanged from Pure Wings 2 and Silent Wings 3, the Noctua NF-A12x25 will remain undefeated. That is, in terms of performance at the same, some lower noise level. The 2500 rpm Silent Wings 4 (model BL094) certainly beats the Noctua, but naturally at the cost of higher noise. We’ve already had one Silent Wings Pro 4 fan here, but this one—the second, larger one—doesn’t look much like it. Visually, though, it doesn’t deny its affiliation with BeQuiet! (and not even to the SWP4 series), but as far as the design is concerned, it’s as if a completely different team of designers worked on it, who didn’t communicate with those from the 120 mm model team at all. And we don’t mean that in a bad way at all. besides that I have B12-PS that indeed has a really nice sound profile of wings, possibly even better than A12x25, but the motor itself is really whizzy, honestly I’m not sure what were the speeds, but the motor is audible basically from the start and only fades out when the wings noise becomes a concern for meA12x25 sitting in the case under my desk works fine at 600RPM, since I have only a single one of these can’t really talk about unit to unit variance, but I’m expecting these to have pretty consistent quality

Eure Messgeräte sind sicher sehr empfindlich. Die Messkammer sehr gut für Vergleich- und Reproduzierbarkeit. In der realen Welt kommen leider andere Faktoren dazu.

I personally, did not find the button idea convenient. What if we have installed the fans in the system on the radiator and we need to change the speed? We would need to remove the fan to slide the button for that.
