Disconnect the AC power from the CS540 charging base. You can unplug the AC cord from the base, or you can unplug the power adapter from the power outlet. Locate the battery door cover, and remove it. Slide the battery cover off and remove it from the headset. Pull the battery out of the attachment clip. Grasp the battery connector and disconnect from the headset.
