About this deal

Oral rehydration salts soluble tablets (O.R.S Hydration tablets®) (classified as food supplement) are available and can support an uplift in demand.

Dioralyte should be reconstituted with water and to the volume stated. A lesser or greater dilution may result in electrolyte imbalance. Dissolve contents of one Dioralyte sachet in 200ml (approximately 7 fluid ounces) of drinking water. If diarrhoea persists unremittingly for longer than 36 hours the patient should be reassessed by the physician.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any o.ther medicines. This includes medicines you buy without a prescription, including herbal medicines. This is because Dioralyte can affect the way some other medicines work. Also some medicines can affect the way Dioralyte works. This medicine contains glucose, which is a type of sugar. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking. this medicine. Make up the solution immediately before use and use it within one hour. If you don't use it within one hour (for instance if you're giving it to a baby over the course of the day) keep it in a fridge. It will keep for up to 24 hours in a fridge. If refrigerated the solution may be stored for up to 24 hours, otherwise any solution remaining one hour after reconstitution should be discarded.

Get medical advice from your doctor when treating a baby. Your doctor will work out how much to give your baby based on their body weight. Unwanted Food or Drink Products - Once supply conditions are broken, there are a number of factors outside of our control that can affect the quality of a product. Therefore perishable goods such as food and drink cannot be returned. Always use exactly 200ml to dissolve the contents of each sachet. Don't use more or less water than this, as this will make the solution too strong or too weak and can upset the balance of salts in your body.In the initial stages of treatment of diarrhoea all foods, including cow's or artificial milk, should be stopped. However breast milk need not be withheld. In breast fed infants it is suggested that the infant is given the same volume of Dioralyte as the bottle fed baby and then put to the breast until satisfied. Expression of residual milk from the breasts may be necessary during this period. After 24 - 48 hours, when symptoms have subsided, the normal diet should be resumed but this should be gradual to avoid exacerbation of the condition.

If you are breast feeding, continue to feed normally. Your baby may need less breast milk so you may need to express some of your milk The contents of each sachet should be dissolved in 200ml (approx. 7fl oz) of drinking water. Use fresh drinking water for adults and children. For infants, and where drinking water is unavailable, the water should be freshly boiled and cooled. The solution should be made up immediately before use and may be stored for up 24 hours in a refrigerator, otherwise any solution remaining an hour after reconstitution should be discarded. The solution itself must not be boiled. For infants and where drinking water is not available, the water should be freshly boiled then cooled.
