Then add titanium whiteto your not rinsed brush. Continue to paint short little strokes as you work your way up the moon. The yellow should get lighter as you go up. To paint the moon, I used a #12 bright brushand primary yellow.Start at the bottom of the moon and paint short little strokes (and strokes outlining the bottom edge of the circle). The kids loved the playfulness of this project, and so did I. However, the best part had to be the end when we lined up all the houses on the floor to see. I loved watching the kids sit by them and look at them. I felt like I was standing at an art gallery watching the people “experience” the art. My second graders would just come, sit down and “look” at all the work and notice all the fine details kids came up with! Then gradually add more dioxazine purple to the brush and less white so the purple gets darker as you work your way away from the circle. If you need to add more white to the brush, you may to help with the blending. Also, some of the white shows up in streaks because there is still white on the brush. Try not to blend all the purple into one solid color.

You can overlap the tree with the ghosts or make them look like they are behind the tree. I did overlapping with the ghost on the left. 11. Draw with paint pen (or paint) the eyes on the tree, owl, bats & spiderTo really get that spooky effect, try making the edges of the branches kind of wavy and the tips of the branches pointed. Pinch pots are the easiest of all the clay projects. You take a ball of clay and then “pinch it” to make an opening. Use this technique with kids during Halloween to make small little pumpkins. You can use air-dry clay if you are a classroom teacher without access to a kiln. Or art teachers can use kiln fire clay. Or, the best of both worlds, classroom teachers and art teachers can collaborate to make these cute little pumpkins! Clay Pumpkin Pinch Pots Steps

Materials: Brown paper bags, a mix of colored construction paper, scissors, glue, shredded paper, markers, crayons, and pencils. While this scene appears dream-like, it was actually inspired by a real-life location and a particularly frightening phenomenon. “One evening I was walking along a path, the city was on one side and the fjord below,” Munch wrote in his diary. “I felt tired and ill. I stopped and looked out over the fjord—the sun was setting, and the clouds turning blood red. I sensed a scream passing through nature; it seemed to me that I heard the scream. I painted this picture, painted the clouds as actual blood. The color shrieked. This became The Scream.” Step #2: Use 1/3 of the clay that you set aside for the top. You can do one of two things. Either create a flat top with a stem coming from it or create a smaller pinch pot that fits onto the bottom of the pumpkin. Play with both shapes to be sure they match and fit together.

Upcycled Halloween Décor Learn to paint with art classes near you, including art classes in NYC, art classes in San Diego and art classes in Houston. You can also enroll in online painting classes and bring your Halloween painting ideas to life from the comfort of home! 3. Follow a Movie Makeup Tutorial I also added a little bit of white to my brush with the deep violet to get a few white streaks in that area. The white also helps with the blending. Go all the way to the edge of the canvas with the deep violet. Next add deep violet to your brush. If you need to, rinse your brush to get all the white and dioxazine residue off. Blend it in with the dioxazine purple by painting over that area. You might need to add a little dioxazine purple to your brush to help it transition a little more smoothly. Bring a classic touch to your décor with this charming ghost art. The ghosts are adorably on a date paired with a candle-lit dinner of sorts. You can pair this painting with any frame of your choosing to really sell the vintage theme of the artwork. Fun Halloween Painting Ideas for a Uniquely Spooky Décor

I wanted to design something that would make your life as a teacher easy for Halloween. I know teachers love the “idea” of decorating their doors for holidays, but the thought of actually coming up with an idea, gathering the supplies, and then making the door often gets marked off the “to-do” list before it’s created or never even makes it on the list. Halloween is a perfect opportunity to line your sidewalks with monstrous luminaria with a simple Halloween craft idea. You will need white or natural paper bags and candles (or LED lights). Whatever your level of experience and style of celebrating Halloween, these seasonal Halloween painting ideas will provide hours of fun and amazing decorations and décor. From scary to sweet, there’s something for everyone. The great part about these coloring sheets is that no two will ever be the same. There is an endless number of combinations students can create with my coloring sheets. Writing prompts are included with these sheets to help align them to the common core and provide students more time to practice writing. A great beginner Halloween painting idea and fun kids Halloween idea is to dip plastic forks in acrylic paint and stamp them onto paper.I have had an interest in Pop Art all of my adult life. I created interactive Pop Art style coloring sheets to provide students with the opportunity to learn about Pop Art images themselves. While a floral Thomas Kincaid landscape painting may not be what you need, a Kinkaid with Godzilla stomping through the brush may be the perfect solution. Pet paintings are always a fun way to honor your animals and decorate your home. Try painting your pet in Halloween costume regalia for the canvas or paint your pet as the tiny monster they are. Pet portraits are a perfect acrylic painting idea for beginners. 15. Cookie Decorating A fun upcycling Halloween painting idea is to take boring thrift store paintings of prints and add monsters, ghouls and other creatures to otherwise peaceful landscapes and still lifes.
