I was reading listverse last night and came across this case, I'm surprised it hasn't been posted here before. At about 7:30 pm she pulled over at the Loon Lake rest stop, a few miles outside of Gaylord MI to use the restroom. Her sons, aged 7 and 9, remained outside the restroom. When their mother did not reappear one of the boys entered the restroom and found his mother had been stabbed 22 times. Her family seemed really understanding and encouraging through all the difficulties that she faced. Even the character of Josie is very beautifully written by the author. Undoubtedly she had hard times with relationships but that doesn't seem to be an obstacle in her road to achieve her goals.
