While she was always intrigued by the idea of graduate school, Kaitlin decided she wanted to start her career by getting some ‘real world’ work experience, taking a software developer job in her hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. Kaitlin (she/her/hers) was born and raised on the unceded land of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations . She has always wanted to be an artist. She loves writing, painting, fashion and design, but it was theatre that stole her heart early on.She went on to get her BFA in acting from the University of Victoria and then completed a professional acting apprenticeship with Pacific Theatre in Vancouver. She is also a graduate of the Arts Club Actor's Intensiveand the Director's Lab North .Kaitlin Williams is currently studying skin disease at the Garza Lab to complete her PhD. Her work in the laboratory, however, goes beyond her academic research. As the Green Labs Intern, Williams is influencing sustainability in the laboratory environment– one of the most energy intensive spaces on campus. In war, the first casualty is truth.
