About this deal

Be My Birthday" by Ha Hyunsang was a soulful rendition about all the first time that you get to live after falling for someone. The first major Nazi camp to be liberated was Majdanek, located in Lublin, Poland. It was liberated in the summer of 1944 as Soviet forces advanced westward. The previous spring, the SS had evacuated most of the Majdanek prisoners and camp personnel. The evacuated prisoners were sent to concentration camps further west, such as Gross-Rosen, Auschwitz, and Mauthausen. As the Soviet troops approached Majdanek at the end of July, the remaining camp personnel hastily abandoned the Majdanek concentration camp without fully dismantling it. The Women’s Liberation Movement made many men question their relationship with women, child care and domestic life. Booth, J.A., Wade, C.J. & Walker, T.W. (2006). Understanding Central America (4th edn). Boulder, CO: Westview Press. Suffrage 18 is a series of posts to mark the 2018 centenary of the first votes for women, sharing stories from The Women’s Library about the campaign for women’s suffrage.

You might want to think about the meaning of life. About goals that you would like to set for yourself. What is life? What does it offer me? What would I actually like to do? Or, wait a minute, is it better not to think at all? It is up to the young people of the recent and the following working generation, to grope, to stumble, to develop new, visionary as well as down to earth attitudes and inspiring blueprints to life in a South Korea from the 2020s onwards... Lykes, M.B. (2012). One legacy among many: The Ignacio Martín-Baró Funfor mental health and human rights at 21. Peace and Conflict: Journal of Peace Psychology, 18(1), 88–95. The Library's buildings remain fully open but some services are limited, including access to collection items. We're Chang Hee's admiration for Mr. Gu, the way he looked upto him, him calling 'hyung' and was able to extract out inspiration from Gu's life, was quite an intrigue. Even with no definite bromance, MLN showcased a meaningful non-romantic bonding between two men, who despite of their personal conflicts, were able to unbar the ways to relief & salvation. I can go on about how I felt looking at Chang Hee's eyes & emotions for Gu-shi multiple times. Drawing heavily from liberation theology (Gutiérrez, 1973/1988) and the critical pedagogy of Paulo Freire (1968/1972), among other traditions, Martín-Baró attempted to face down the legacies of inequality and oppression that are writ large on Latin America’s collective history.Women’s history appeared for the first time at Ruskin History Workshop in November 1969. An academic meeting on women’s history was proposed but instead it was decided to hold a more general meeting on the challenges facing women. This was planned for February 1970. Final Remarks... Ahhhh! That's how you express yourself with drama that could imply to a plentitude range of emotions and thoughts, throughout. Coming to the last part of my review, I am not sure whether or not I was worthy of writing this piece, for it is so beautifully contented which not only took the characters in the journey of liberation, but also helped the viewrs learn how to liberate themselves. With great production values, fascinating script, fabulous execution and beautiful outcomes, this is one of the best slice-of-life Kdramas ever produced even so it didn't have a noteworthy viewership record as it aired. I wish it could reach a lot more people but I also believe, good things always find their ways to those who deserve. With this, I must not forget to express my gratitude to the cast and crew and everyone plus everything that's involved in bringing out "My Liberation Notes" to me. Thank you, so very much! In 1975, Animal Liberation started a worldwide movement when it revealed the abuse of animals in factory farms and laboratories. In the fifty years since, science has further vindicated Peter Singer's arguments about animal sentience, and the book has helped change the minds of millions. But the situation for animals has in many ways grown worse.

Within the United Kingdom, the work of three figures who have both contributed to contemporary liberation psychology theory and practice bears mentioning here. Mark Burton has been at the forefront of liberation psychology’s development beyond Latin America; along with Carolyn Kagan (Burton & Kagan, 2005, 2009) and Jorge Mario Flores Osorio (Burton & Osorio, 2011). Mark Burton pioneered the English-language liberation psychology network, which has functioned as an online forum and for cooperative work between psychologists throughout the world (www.libpsy.org). Finally, the relatively recent publication of Critical Community Psychology (Kagan et al., 2011), sponsored by the British Psychological Society, bears the imprint of liberation psychology and other critical psychology traditions. Through their work, Burton and Kagan have stressed that well-being is intimately linked with the health of our social, political and environmental surrounds. British forces liberated concentration camps in northern Germany, including Neuengamme and Bergen-Belsen. They entered the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, near Celle, in mid-April 1945. Some 60,000 prisoners, most in critical condition because of a typhus epidemic, were found alive. More than 13,000 of them died from the effects of malnutrition or disease within a few weeks of liberation. Impact of Liberation At an SIP conference in Havana, Cuba, Martín-Baró and M. Brinton Lykes first met. This meeting, and another in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1989, led to the establishment of the Network of Communication and Scientific Documentation in Mental Health and Human Rights (Lykes, 2012; Lykes & Liem, 1990). This was a joint effort to move knowledge generated in Latin America and the Global South via psychologists to the north. It was seen as a new direction to the circulation of psychological research and practice – work that usually travels from north to south – by abstracting Spanish-language articles from Latin America and the Caribbean and making them more widely available in the North’ (Lykes, 2012, p.89). The focus is on 4 protagonists who practically all live together in the provincial suburb of Seoul. Three of them are siblings and work in Seoul, the fourth is a stranger who helps their father in the carpentry shop and in the fields, eats with the family and lives next door. (A fantastic Son Seok-ko as an inscrutable stranger, as well as Lee Min-ki, Kim Ji-won and Lee-El as very different siblings, are presenting the range of everyday emotional worlds in a wonderfully haunting way.) All four wrestle with life in their very own manner and question, what freedom and quality of life could mean to them under the given circumstances. Promotion? Money? Success? A car? A partner? Marriage? Family? Living in an apartment in Seoul? Where is life? Is this life? Six months later, on January 27, 1945, Soviet troops liberated Auschwitz. Auschwitz was the largest Nazi killing center and concentration camp complex. In the weeks preceding the arrival of Soviet units, Auschwitz camp personnel had forced the majority of Auschwitz prisoners to march westward in what would become known as " death marches." When they entered the camp, Soviet soldiers found over six thousand emaciated prisoners alive. These prisoners greeted the soldiers as their liberators.

Duran, E., Firehammer, J. & Gonzalez, J. (2008). Liberation psychology as a path toward healing cultural soul wounds. Journal of Counselling & Development, 86, 288–295. My Liberation Notes" in many ways establishes and emphasizes various forms of friendship. The very fact that we vibe differently with different people at the same time, even within the same group, has been beautifully demonstrated. ''The things we share with our friend A, we can't spill that to friend B' " sorta feelings. From neighborhood buddies to workplace collegues and from school classmates to long lost acquaintances, MLN throws light upon both the importance and complications of each. I Think I Know" by Isaac Hong accompanied Gi Jung's love story as an appreciation to souls that heal each other.
