The text of A RIVER is simple, but the artwork and rich panoramas will allow you to use this book to discuss imagination, art style, and the environment with children. Something as simple as pointing out that you've gone with the main character on a journey without leaving the room can be a new consideration for the child of the right age.Lots of potential, but it was simply boring, and the ending (about 85 % when it actually gets interesting) is so abrupt I almost threw my kindle in the nearest river. A River follows a young girl with an imagination bigger than the city she lives in. Beautiful illustrations tell the story of a child as she turns the river running through her home into a magical world. Floating through different spaces, she ultimately discovers that inspiration lies not only in the outside world but within her very own bedroom, too. And it doesn't really matter because Marc Martin puts that character and us on boat on that river and as we float along we get to view dramatic changes of scenery. We leave the city and find farmland, for example, but not before we see the less desirable aspects of the city.

Katie Malone’s journey to Virgin River is disrupted by a flat tire and unfavourable weather. Struggling to change the tyre and with hungry children in tow, Katie is relieved when a group of bikers offers assistance. Among them is Dylan, and there is an immediate spark of attraction between them. But Katie, a practical single mother, and Dylan, a commitment-phobe, are not seeking long-term romance. As the townspeople gather for the festivities, these two individuals, both seeking solace for their wounded hearts, recognise a potential remedy in each other’s company. Amidst the joyous atmosphere, they take a chance on finding comfort and connection on this special night. Virgin River Book 13: Promise Canyon (2011) Virgin River provided a sanctuary for Sacramento prosecutor Brie Sheridan, a prosecutor from Sacramento, who faced a near-fatal encounter with a deranged criminal. Despite her strength and bravery, she carries some lingering fears.Determined to help Brie overcome her painful memories, Mike, who is passionate, resilient, and gentle, pledges to give her what she has generously given him—the gift of her heart and a fresh start at life. Virgin River Book 4: A Virgin River Christmas (2008)

Written as a field guide to demonstrate practical examples of river types, and to highlight the pressures they experience and their often-parlous condition, this book is intended to better inform both river management approaches and the policy necessary to achieve this. Fundamentally, the authors seek to demonstrate how the hydrological, geomorphological, and ecological functions of rivers and their catchments are inexorably intertwined, and together how they generate and maintain rivers as dynamic entities. Both Connor and Leslie have no intention of starting fresh relationships, as their hearts bear scars from past experiences. However, as they cross paths in Virgin River, they discover unexpected commonalities and a shared understanding of heartbreak. In this close-knit community, it becomes evident that no one can remain hidden from life and love for long. If you haven't realized it yet, let me say it, loud and clear, “I loved The River”. Thank you Peter Heller. Nora has faced her fair share of challenges but remains determined to support her family, even taking on work during harvest time at the Cavanaugh orchard. While she has always focused on staying afloat, her thoughts increasingly wander to Tom, who is rugged and opinionated. Both Nora and Tom have their own beliefs about what defines a family, but their assumptions are about to be shattered. Dylan Childress, a former actor turned aviation company owner, finds himself at a crossroads in his life. As his business slows down in Montana, he contemplates returning to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. However, during a weekend trip with friends, his priorities shift when he encounters a stranded woman and her twin boys on the side of the road.
