Siren Craft Brew has meticulously selected only the very best ingredients to ensure Lumina offers optimum flavour. Please find a breakdown of these below:

It pours with a beautiful glowing haze, quietly glistening in the surrounding light. A tropical fruit salad of aromas immediately emanates from the glass thanks to a supermassive dry-hop. Azacca brings a punchiness and a touch of pine, Mosaic offers tropical mango and guava, Ekuanot with pineapple notes and all of this balanced by Hallertau Blanc, with trademark white grape and mandarin.Across all formats, Lumina hasbeen served in1014 individual accounts, with Fullers Pub Co being the biggest adopter, closely followed by Frontier Pub Co. Our top independent Lumina retailer by volune is the amazing Trekkers bar in Chesham. What a treat to get Pastel Pils into some new hands this year. This lager is low-key becoming a core range product for us. It was originally inspired by Italian-style pilsners, so it has some sweetness in the base, all noble hops, subtle bitterness and a really great pop of aroma. A massive bonus with this beer is that it’s also gluten-free. The Enzyme we use breaks down the gluten to a point where it’s suitable for people with intolerances to Gluten, along with coeliacs, but without sacrificing anything in terms of flavour, body or aroma ( Don’t forget, Lumina, our flagship Session IPA, is also gluten free). Amber Ale with a complex grain bill bringing bready malt flavour with hints of dark caramel, honey and rye spice, combined with a West Coast US hop character, as Simcoe and Amarillo hops provide bright stone fruit and orange citrus notes. Ales are darker and fuller-bodied than lagers, as well as being more robust, complex and bitter, with hints of fruit or spice and a hoppy finish. There are many types, including bitter, mild, pale ale, abbey ale and nut brown. Ales have more individual characteristics than lager, though their alcoholic strength is similar. IPA

malts, acts as the launch pad from which Lumina is layered upon, blazing a touch of sweetness in flavour before take-off. Both flaked and malted oats have been combined. Siren strategically did this to add depth and volume to the body to ensure a smooth sensation when drinking. Our founder, Darron said: “It’s a real challenge as a small business right now to cut through, whether that’s getting into pubs where the big brewers have tied up all the access and restricted choice for consumers, or online where we see the big social media platforms unwilling to show our followers organic posts. #LuminaHour is an example of what can be achieved when the amazing beer community comes together, raising an incredible amount of money in the process.” The combination of classic and new waveHops give JIMBO aromas of mixed berries, crisp apple, yet all balanced with a well-rounded nutty bitter finish. Siren Craft Brew, the independent Berkshire brewery, will today unveil Lumina, the latest Session IPA to join the brand’s range of flavour-forward, quality beer. Lumina unifies years of experience, experimentation, and evolution to create Siren’s most universal beer to date. Expertly brewed in Finchampstead, Lumina is crafted with hoppy aromas of tropical mango and pineapple, enlightening your palate with an explosive flavour, flashes of citrus highlights and a refreshingly balanced bitterness. A beer that everyone can enjoy and appreciate.

Celebrating 10 years of Siren

Adry-hopof Azacca, Mosaic, Ekuanot and Hallertau Blanc is the final touch. Hopping this late in the process is the reason the aroma shoots out of the can so immediately, bursting with mango, pineapple, and orangey notes. The Launch Both flaked and malted oats. Siren decided to use a combination of oats to add depth and volume to the body to ensure a smooth and soft sensation when drinking. The oats make up approximately 15% of the grist We decided that collaboration would be key, as it always has been to us over the 10 years, but before long it became clear just how mammoth this task was. Our Beer52 Anniversary Box contains no fewer than 16 different beers, with 13 of them collaborations.

It’s sometimes hard to get excited about lower-strength beers, but this is the realm in which a brewery’s quality shines through. Unlike double IPAs or imperial stouts, there’s no decadent sweetness or mouth-coating hoppiness to hide behind with a drink like this. Any imperfection is easy to identify, and will be instantly pounced upon by the most snobbish of Untappd-dwelling beer fiends. But with Lumina there are no such imperfections to speak of. The big hitter of the box, Double Digits is a dank and delicious Double IPA. It’s a great example of how hop combinations can be put together, as Strata and Citra bring the fruit punch, Hallertau Blanc adds mid-notes and depth with light grape and gooseberry, Mosaic helps with tropical tones and dank aromas, while Chinook gives the beer the piney ‘edge’ that we’re looking for. It’s a challenge to make sure these beers aren’t too sweet, so the hops are crucial in that, with enough bitterness to balance things out against the malts and alcohol. We’re delighted with it, and what a pleasure to work with Protokoll in Berlin, who’s bar we’ve been long time fans of.A copper coloured, aromatic beer brewed as a traditional American IPA made with pale crystal malts and Cascade and Centennial American hops for a modern, citrusy finish. Siren has revealed its latest craft beer creation, Siren Lumina - a session ale that it hopes will leave you starry eyed. Ode to the Golden State a 4.8% Californian Common. Copper coloured body from a complex malt blend. Lashings of toffee and caramel sweetness whilst the lager yeast makes it easy drinking. Some of you may remember 2020: it was a pretty big year. With the pandemic closing pubs and bars we didn't really have an outlet for launching a brand new flagship beer. As difficult as it was to see so many of our friend's businesses closed indefinitely, we had to push forward.

Bitter, a British style of pale ale, comes in a huge variety of colours, types and strengths from 3% to 7% ABV. Sub-types include light ale (low alcohol bitter, often bottled), session bitter (up to 4.1%; includes IPA), best or special (strength between 4.2% and 4.7%), premium or strong (4.8% or over) and golden ale (summer ale). Porter India Pale Ale (or IPA) is one of the most popular ales – and indeed beers – around. Pale ale originally meant an ale that had been brewed from pale malt and the original IPAs were heavily hopped for transport to colonial India. IPAs now have a strong association with Canada and the United States, where many breweries produce their own versions. Session IPA refers to the lower alcohol version (mostly below 5% ABV) of US-style IPA, which is usually fruity, zesty and bitter. Bitter Lumina is easy drinking but always satisfying. We’re fermenting with our unique house-strain of Vermont yeast. We love the subtle peach and apricot notes this yeast provides, it’s perfect for hoppy, hazy beers and we have it to thank for the majority of IPAs and Pale Ales in our range. Universal AppealWhile many beers are judged – rightly or wrongly – in relation to their hoppiness, Lumina’s excellence lies in its natural drinkability. It’s that almost mystical quality few beers possess, which makes it impossible not to grab another can from the fridge, followed by another. And then another. Just try and limit yourself to one can, I dare you. Introducinga beer into our flagship range is a big deal. We want to add value to our Sirens. It needs to be something that represents us as a brand, something we love to drink all year round and that complements our wider output. But beyond that, we don’t just brew beers for the sake of it. There are a myriad of amazing session beers out there already (believe us, we tried most of them in the research phase of this project!), and we want to bring something new to the game. Lumina is a beer influenced by modern tastes as much as it aims to inspire them. Azacca, Mosaic, Ekuanot, Hallertau Blanc and Chinook hops combine so in drinking there’s a welcome edge of pine and grapefruit flavour to the overall juicy profile. The mouthfeel is soft with layers of oats (making up around 15% of the grist) helping this, along with some nice body. There’s just enough perceived bitterness there to freshen up the palate and get you ready for the next sip. It’s out most universal beer - being super drinkable, gluten-free and vegan friendly.
