About this deal

Its the majority opinion that its not science. Sun is star. Moon is satellite. But still considered for calculations. How the stars, planets and satellite and there relative motion affect our lives is beyond comprehension. And even if they do how it can be calculated mathematically. The qualities attributed to different planets is based on mythology, arbitrary and imaginary. Like jupiter for education or venus for sex. The signs also named after the shape of a particular constellation which they represent. And then she impose the quality of that particular shape on that sign people. Like Leo or lions have qualities of lions. Libra looks like a scale so she says they r always confused and unable to take decisions. SO to cut a long story short it is all imaginary. Oh, and she gave very detailed instructions for how we can all spend 15 years slowly eliminating foods from our diets until we eat nothing but fruit. Why would I want to live off of fruit? It’s like her hair-brained ideas about money and karma, it’s about martyrdom and the denial of human pleasures. And she went on and on about people needing gurus to teach them. I’ve never had any gurus to give me their personal perspective. I think had she actually gone within to find true answers, this would be a much stronger book. Don't forget that Libra is a masculine sign, with a feminine ruler, Venus. No fair allowing one sex to take priority of mention over the other. Everything must be nicely balanced. The sense of poetry and beauty and harmony in Librans extends also to the equality of their relationship. It's clearly not "harmonious" to always name the man first—or place the male's wishes ahead of the female's. Just is just. Male chauvinism is just so...uncoordinated...so unpoetic. Don't you think? (Goodman, 655)

I didn't believe in Astrology until I bought this book. I just had to read the Aries (the first sign) chapter in the book and I knew then to my great delight that this book is genuine. I felt I had to come on here and review this book today because nobody paid much attention to my review of Liz Greene's "Astrology For Lovers", which is quite simply the best astrology book ever published in the history of the world. If the whole world was going up in flames and there was only time to save one book for posterity I expect most people would save the dictionary or the complete Shakespeare, but I would definitely be rescuing Liz Greene from the flames. Linda Goodman's Sun Signs" is to "Astrology For Lovers" as the Datsun Cherry is to the Bugatti Veyron. There is not one single thing that Goodman does even half as well as Greene. The only people who give this book the time of day are the people who are not aware that the Liz Greene book exists. Had Liz Greene's publishers not for some inexplicable reason insisted the word "Lovers" be incorporated into her title (it was originally called "Star Signs For Lovers",) a lot more people would have read it, I feel sure. I have switched to Vedic astrology,it works for everyone very specifically with accuracy of precision and timing versus western which can analyze a man's character pretty well but prediction wise,a big faillll!!!talks about an imaginary higher self plagiarizing from the indian Vedic tradition but viewing this "higher self" as some sort of angel controlling our mind and soul but we simply can't detect this angel's presence, she talks of no way to realize that there is some unique higher self somewhere,in other words she is fantasizing just like the biblical theologians did about virgin birth and angels coming down from heaven to talk to shepherds etcc.there is no extra higher self, only your self encased in this mind and body which we call soul, thats it This book describes a lot regarding various sun signs in a very interesting way even if you do not want to believe it sometimes. It becomes very interesting when a person reads it and matches his or her qualities.

I could go on and on... but the point is I strongly advise to read this book with a skeptical mindset, dont blindly believe it!!!as she says herself in the book For further evidence of this misguided notion, see the penultimate paragraph of the Leo Woman/Leo Man section: Hall, Sarah; Rein, Richard K. "Why Did Her Lover Flee? Is Her Daughter Dead? Linda Goodman Seeks Answers in the Stars". People . Retrieved 16 August 2018.well you see this book introduced me to spirituality virtually, slowly I learnt to know the facts behind fiction and lastly the result of all the churning in my mind is the conclusion- she did promote lot of good ideas like numerology and career and stuff like that but other ideas like word druids lexigramming, immortality, weight loss were incredulously stupid theories and just malarkey!!!

This book is the same. It's credibility was not helped by the fact that the personal reputation / credibility of the author is quite low (she was quite naive throughout her life evidenced in the way she handled money or signed contracts, started some kind of a cult with her 20 year younger lover, and kept believing that her daughter is not dead after her tragic suicide at a very young age (the last of which is more sad than crazy); but overall the image is of a tragic yet flimsy woman.) However, speaking of the book itself, the writing is all over the place and the author goes into rambling tirades. It has random platitudes and drivel rather than enough actual substance - art of deflection is something astrologers are experts at. Even the substance that was there, I did not find true (at least for the Aquarius - Sagittarius match in terms of personality traits described). To be fair, it does seem like she actually believes this stuff though. I have highlighted i greatly and it's always by my bed. Have do and will continue to read it to everybody. My family, Young people and the couple section helps you learn the others sign with comparability. If you read this book, you will be able to cope with the fussiness and being perfectionist of a Virgo. You will also understand why people born under the sign of Gemini have two or multiple personality that sometimes lead you to confusion. You will be able to adjust with the tranquility and slow pacing personality of Taurean, level up the energy and cheerfulness of Sagittarius, praise the Leon, laugh with the jokes of moody Cancerian, be as ambitious as Capricorn, as sweet as Pisceans and as friendly as Aquarians. We will also realize our desire to find out the mistery of Scoprion, the enthusiasm of people born under the sign of Aries and the beauty and judgement of Libran. Gooberz, begun in 1967, is a long poem riddled with myriad occult references and symbolism. It is also a thinly veiled autobiography, which explores two of her significant romantic relationships: her marriage to William Snyder and her love affair with marine biologist Robert Brewer. It also touches on the births of her four children: Sally Snyder, Bill Snyder, Jill Goodman and Michael Goodman. The book surveys her ideas on reincarnation, karma, love, and miracles.

Linda Goodman assumed the name 'Linda' during World War II for a popular WCOM radio show in Parkersburg that she hosted called Love Letters from Linda. Each show consisted of her reading letters written between soldiers and their loved ones. Each letter was punctuated with a popular song of the day. While working in radio, she met her second husband, Sam O. Goodman, and took his last name.

Holden, James H. (2006). "Linda Goodman and Sun Signs". A History of Horoscopic Astrology (2nded.). American Federation of Astrologers. ISBN 9780866904636. Peter was a Sun Sign Gemini--even though I use particular quotes of his to symbolize other signs in this book, a Sun Sign Gemini he was, who desired never to grow up, searching for something he never quite found, forever destined to be sure only of his own shadow, never of another human being—until, we trust, through eventual enlightenment, he learned at last the lesson of love. It also defines the nature and characteristics of water, air and earth signs. As it was written a lot of years ago, things have changed greatly. It is based on people belief on astrology. Some of the points that I found interesting were like :She also says some interesting stuff about Taurus and Virgo being ruled by “yet to be discovered planets.” Had she actually studied mythology, which astrology is inseparable from, she’d know these planets were Saturn and Mars. I was 16 or 17 when I read the book!!!I genuinely believed in word druids, immortality, weight loss and so many theories!!!!I was so enchanted, but it made me the most unrealistic and spoiled my adolescence
