Most of our alarms have a 10-year life, after which they should be replaced to ensure you carry on getting the best protection. The Ei3024 can operate as a standalone Alarm or can be interconnected either by hard-wire or wirelessly (using the EI3000MRF module) enabling it to communicate with compatible Ei Alarms and accessories. Up to 20 devices can be interconnected. You will know when you need to change the battery, as you will hear a single regular beep (low battery warning) coming from the alarm, however it is recommended that you change the battery every year. If that does not silence it, clean the alarm using a vacuum. Wait for 10 minutes and the issue should be resolved.

If the alarm contains AudioLINK – Once the alarm has stopped activating and it is safe to enter the property extract a report to identify the details of the incident.

All Aico alarms have a date-code label on the side of them which tells you exactly when the alarm was made and also the recommended replacement date. If it is a regular single beep (approximately once every minute), then the battery may be running low, and you may need to change the battery in the alarm. This is relevant for the 140RC Series alarms.

A large Test / Silence button is fitted to the alarm enabling frequent testing. The silence function allows the alarm / system to be silenced in the case of a false alarm and low battery / fault noises. The Ei3024 is powered by 230V AC mains. In the event of mains failure, the rechargeable 10 year built in tamper-proof lithium cells will provide up to 3 months power supply in the case of a wireless RF installation or up to 6 months in any other case. The Ei3024 Multi-Sensor Fire Alarm is fully compatible with all other Aico alarms and accessories whether a system needs upgrading or an existing system needs expanding; and works with either hard-wired, RadioLINK or hybrid interconnecting systems. The memory feature allows an Alarm that has previously activated to be easily identified (through the red flashing LED). Intelligent integrated software enables the device to detect all fire types (TF1 to TF6 & TF8) which surpasses conventional single sensor alarms. The risk of false alarms is also greatly reduced with its smoke chamber design, integrated insect screen and automatic dust compensation. There is likely to be Carbon Monoxide present. Turn off any gas appliances, open windows and doors and leave the property.
