Despite being a Blood Claw and being childish like pulling of a prank, he shown to have traits that is out of the box compare to his Wolf Lord. In this novel, Lukas is shown to be a voice that critize the Space Wolf tradition. Unlike their contemporaries from more orthodox Chapters, the Sons of Russ do not train through the predictable logic of the practice cage or assault corridors, for the elder Space Wolves that oversee the Blood Claws' development as warriors believe that the best training ground is the white-hot fury of the battlefield. Russ was proud, and so too must we be proud, whatever the consequences.’ Despite of the simple narration, the novel is enjoyable and doesn't need a lot things to be rememberred. Hungry for glory and excitement, he has no qualms about imperilling every ship in his fleet if it will mean he can destroy an enemy ship in style. Like Lukas, he is also another deviant based on his race standard. In this case he doesn't wanted to drown himself in the constant scheming and whatever boring Dark Eldar do in their daily lifes. Instead, he's being a space pirate and did things he wanted to do without a string attached. For example, in the book he raided his 'allies' for no reasonable reason. Because the story spends so much time building up the two main figures in this conflict, it takes over a third of the book for the real battle to start. This isn't to say it's without action, but to emphasise the fact it took its time to reach that point. It doesn't rush into things, this means that much of the heavy lifting and narrative establishment is handled very early on, leaving the rest of the book to focus on the violence. Oh my, the violence. Josh Reynolds tends to excel in conversations, character exploration and building a sense of atmosphere. As such, the fact he can cut loose as he did came as a brilliant surprise. To detail some of the things attempted would be to spoil the main draw of the novel, so instead, please simply know this: Yes, it is thoroughly entertaining. Yes, it is as insane as you would expect. Yes, obvious tactics and unconventional methods both play a major part in the story. Confident and fresh, the Blood Claws are constantly abuzz with the belligerent enthusiasm of youth and the excitement of having ascended to the ranks of the fabled Sky Warriors of Fenris. Lukas Wolf Lord and a but in Lukas prank. Nothing but a generic Space Wolf who thinks about honor and other stuff. He might be the same Wolf Lord who appears in Lukas audio drama since his name is Grimblood.
