Overtime the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores appear reduced while SPF 50 (our highest SPF foundation) and antioxidants protects skin from damaging UVA/UVB rays. Containing Vitamins C & E, along with a blend of antioxidants including ginseng root extract and morus alba (mulberry) leaf extract, the formula helps to brighten the skin.

We’re unsure why Boots doesn’t offer the same shade range across each type of foundation, or why it can be so difficult to tell which shade you are in each type. The Restore and Renew Serum foundation gave us light-to-medium coverage and it masked our blemishes with ease. Expertly formulated, the Protect & Perfect Advanced All in One Foundation goes above and beyond to transform your complexion to protect and perfect for more youthful-looking skin over time. However, because the shade choices across these ranges vary so wildly, only a selection of the range features a suitable skin tone match (which for us is Warm Beige, for the record). Plus, the majority of foundation options only have around 15-20 shades, which is a really small selection by comparison to many other brands. Key Benefit: Protects and reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores resulting in flawless, younger-looking skin.Out of all of the versions in this group No7 foundation review, the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight was our favourite Skincare infused, buildable coverage foundation, enriched with age defying skincare technology from our highly acclaimed Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum: A humectant formula that acts like a sponge pulling in water to the outer skin layer and slows down evaporation, leaving skin hydrated and feeling comfortable. This Beautifully Matte foundation held nicely throughout the day and we think it’s definitely better suited for oily skin types. We particularly liked that our T-zone wasn’t oily at the end of the day, which takes some doing. As promised, this foundation truly did give a matte look, although if you apply too much we found that this full-coverage foundation left our faces looking a bit cakey. Even though it gave light-to-medium coverage, it covered blemishes well and the shade matched almost exactly. This would be the perfect everyday foundation, it worked well with both primers and gave a lovely natural finish – our skin looked like, well, skin. We did favour the beauty blender application because it gave a smoother-looking complexion, but the difference was marginal.

We also loved that it left our skin looking glowing, smooth and most of all healthy. Flexible polymer film sits over lines, flexing and stretching with every facial movement for a smooth, flawless finish. Traditional foundations aren’t always suited to dry , mature skin a nd can settle into fine lines, wrinkles and dry patches. When choosing a foundation for aging skin, look for: Take a look at your bare skin in the mirror in natural light to identify which skin tone you have, ranging from fair, light, medium, medium/rich and rich. You might find that instead of just being one tone, you’re a combination of a few skin tones such as light-medium or medium-rich. If you’re really struggling to work out what type of skin tone you have, ask a friend to help or visit a local beauty counter for assistance. Knowing which skin tone you have will make it a lot easier to determine which foundation colour will suit you most.
