I know that look. I used to see it in my own eyes every time I could bear to look in the mirror. I still see it now. I have to admit that during most of the book, i was feeling unsettled because i was afraid what will happen when the past will catch up with the future and yes, near to the end, i lost my shit with the development of the story, but i didn't expecting how the things would turn out and i loved the solution that Samantha gave us!!!! it gave me relief!!! A beautifully emotional story with all the feels, this book is darkly intense with moments of humor and lightness, and a gorgeous, slow burning romance. I read it in a day, unable to put it down, and I absolutely loved it! I loved how Carrie and River slowly get to know each other and become best friends. They have so much in common and both of them have been through hell in their lives. They are both damaged and they help each other heal. The story was great, and Carrie’s pregnancy progresses slowly throughout the story. I wish this one was longer. Other than that, I really liked this book. He's also been through A LOT of things throughout his life and I don't know how he's been able to live after all that shit, but I'm glad he never gave up and he really thought "you now? Even though life It's tough, I won't let it disappoint me" Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Carrie and River's story. Carrie finds out she is pregnant and that is her last straw to convince herself to run away from her abusive husband. She ends up being neighbors with the grumpy jerk River. After more and more encounters, Carrie sees something in River and they form an unlikely friendship. There are some big secrets from both of their pasts that gets revealed, some sweet moments, and a few suspenseful scenes...and they get a HFN ending. River is a complicated character. He was cold and standoff-ish the majority of the book, but it never stopped me from loving him. If anything, seeing how he shied away from people and hid from their judgment just made me love him even more all while wanting to give him the biggest hug possible. I loved how his character never really changed either. There was some very strong character development, yet overall River was still the same guy at the end of the book that he was at the beginning. We just got to see him in a different light and how he was when he wasn't hiding from the world. RIVER WILD’ Is a full length ‘romance’ novel by author ‘Samantha Towle’ Spoken in Dual Perspectives.

Hlavné postavy sa mi enormne páčili, hlavná hrdinka mala skvelé zmýšľanie, veľmi som ju obdivovala a River bol iný typ chlapa, zároveň sa mi jeho charakter páčil a vedela som mu porozumieť. ? I feel a bit stupid now But I started this, so I have to forge on. I rub my hands together. “Well, I was just wondering…are we…friends?”not all together memorable. i think, no i know, i enjoyed the romance, however, there were things that frustrated me. for example, we see River and Carrie becoming good friends. they keep having cute bantery moments, and seem to be steadily progressing into love territory. There was one ‘ reveal’ that (in my humble opinion) didn’t fit in with the story and sort of disrupted the flow of book. SPOILER: River’s whole vigilante plotline came out of nowhere and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. Perhaps if there were some more obvious clues, I would’ve found it more believable? . This had so many moments, Heartbreaking Moments, Swoon Worthy Moments, Sweet Moments, Laugh Out Loud Moments C-U-Next-Tuesdays , Tie all these moments up and it made for an unforgettably beautiful story about finding love when you least expected it. Chytlo mě to hned od první stránky a rozhodně jsem knihu nečetla naposledy.As i told you above, this was an intense reading and it spoke directly into my heart.... There were two POVs in here... Carrie's of course and River's... But River's chapters were less, but more intense and more essential... River byl zlomený a tzv. "bouchal pěstmi okolo sebe" protože, jen on znal skutečnou pravdu. Líbilo se mi, že jakmile se dozvěděl, že je jeho sousedka těhotná, najednou obrátil a začal se chovat jinak. River Wilda jsem si oblíbila hned od začátku. Vlastně né hned od začátku, trochu později, tím jak z kraje přejel Carrie nákup mě hodně naštval. Zmetek :-). Věčně naštvaný, nabroušený, vulgární. Vlastně ten týpek na obálce k němu docela sedí :-). Líbilo se mi čím se živil. To bylo originální, netradiční a sedělo to k němu. I on prožil v minulosti strašné věci, které se nám pomalinku rozkrývají v kapitolách z minulosti, které vypráví. Byl to hnus, co to s těma policajtama v Americe je? Každopádně pod tím věčně zamračeným zevnějškem se skrývá chlap se zlatým srdíčkem.
