Description

Nino was so understanding and supportive of Kiara that I had no doubt that if they were a real life couple they'd be those old married people who die at the same time in their sleep. They'd be like that scene in The Notebook (hey it's morbid but true). Many choices have been taken from me throughout this life, but I choose to salvage my honor, choose to hold my head high no matter what happens. Let this be my choice.” stars if i could lmao. i'm 4 seconds away from suing for punitive damages. i'm not going into the effort of writing a proper review for this, so: Fabiano frowned. “Luca isn’t like you, Nino. Not every single one of his decisions is based on logical reasons. He’s furious because we insulted Aria, and his pride might stop him from making the logical decision. Trust me on that.” This is an over-the-top, slow burn mafia romance that features the arranged marriage trope between two different mafia families.

When Nino and Kiara spoke the language of love through music to convey every tincture of their emotions and feelings left unsaid? Romance is not dead. 🥺 They are like two melodies that merge together into one soft, tender symphony. Nino is the best man, so finally I understand why everyone were talking about him. He was sweet and understanding for Kiara, plus this man knew what he was doing. i would've given this a higher rating if this book was longer and if we had more Nino chapters/pov's because i wanted to see the parts where he's falling in love with her but he doesn't know he's falling with her but we all know he's falling in love with her. if that makes sense.Twisted Emotions is the second story in this series but in my opinion, can still be read as a standalone I myself did and had no issues following along at all. As much attention as you deserve, Kiara. You are too beautiful to lurk in the shadows. And as my wife, you will have to get used to the spotlight.” to think it would suggest it’s born of my imagination, but your beauty is fact. And the reason why I’m not worried about men making a move on you is because you are a Falcone now, my wife, and in Las Vegas nobody goes against us."

And yet even though he was 100% full Remo he still captured my heart with the clear love and loyalty he held for his family. Like that scene when Nino tells Kiara to get Remo and Remo immediately goes to him? PERFECTION. Or how at her wedding Remo could sense that Kiara couldn't handle dancing with her Uncle and immediately sought to eliminate what was making her uncomfortable. Remo has a lot of depth you've just gotta dig really really deep to find it. Adamo: he's so precious and innocent. HE'S SO ADORABLE. he doesn't want to kill and be a ho so i just- can we all just protect this precious bean please and thanks. Nino Falcone agrees to marry to strengthen the ties with the Famiglia. If you remember Kiara Vitiello who came in Bound of Love and a little bit in Sweet Temptation, her traitor father was killed by her cousin Luca. Kiara is 19-years-old and is of marriage age. Her reputation is ruined because of her father and she is always looked down by her adopted family and the people around. Marrying Nino scares her for his reputation is dangerous and also she hides a secret that may kill her.the Camorra world is definitely wayyy better than the one Luca’s handling (idk what’s it called so whatever). I loved seeing Kiara’s character development throughout the book bc what happened to her was heart breaking and i thank my boi Nino for being there for her. Although i must say, am i the only one who doesn’t see how Nino’s as intelligent as they keep claiming him to be?? i feel like that’s all talk and no show. all i see was him being calm and rational. unless that’s considered intelligent now? idk u tell me 🥱

Six years had passed, but the memories still woke me at night. I was scared of being close to a man, to any man, especially this man—my husband. I just never really saw them connect. Yes, Nino took care of her in a very soft way, but what made him love her? What did she do that he liked so much? I feel like the answer to that is non-existent, because they didn’t really connect on a deeper level like that. He calmed her down and helped her with her trauma, and they had sex. That’s the extent of their relationship. Which, once again, was a sweet relationship in itself, but not a very romantic one in my opinion. I think some ppl must’ve found the whole playing the piano thing corny or ott but I didn’t. I love music myself and I completely understood exactly what she meant when she was talking about it. I could hear the kind of melody she was describing in my head so clearly it had me like shiiiiiit I’m eating this up. Loved that aspect of the book. AND THAT SCENE TOWARDS THE END WHERE HES PLAYING THE PIANO ALONE AND SHES ON THE STAIRS LISTENING?? BROOOOOOO IT BROUGHT ME TO THE BRINQQQQQ The Meandering ✦ What was the point of this book? Like honestly what was it? Look I'm not complaining because as you can see I really enjoyed this book, however, if you came here for a plot you will be sorely disappointed. Even me, hater of plot over romance, could admit that NOTHING was happening. After Nino and Kiara got married nothing really happened. They basically just hung out in the house and got to know one another. Which again was nice, but to be quite honest got a bit boring. And then when we reached the end of the book I couldn't help but feel like it felt incomplete? I'm assuming Cora Reilly had planned Nino and Kiara's sequel in advance because their story felt very incomplete. I wish we could've seen Nino doing more Camorra business and interacting with more people from that world. I feel like we only get to see a very limited snapshot of Las Vegas and Remo's territory. Maybe that'll change with Adamo's book. The Falcones were going to feel cheated. A sacrificial virgin was to be given to the monsters in Las Vegas for a promise of peace. I was never given the chance to be a virgin. That choice had been taken from me. Painfully ripped from me.

Women Not Named Kiara ✦ Why do Savio, Nino, Remo, and basically every man in this book need to be so disrespectful towards the women THEY PAY to have sex with them. The descriptions of how rough they are towards them, and how much they disregard / degrade them just got uncomfortable and old after a while. I'm not pointing fingers at just this book either, more like at the series as a whole. It seems that if you're a woman in any of these books and you're not the protagonist you will be treated like garbage. I gave Remo a slanted look. Last time he talked to Luca hadn’t gone over too well. Years had passed, but if Luca held on to grudges, he’d remember that too. And Remo had a way of provoking people that didn’t go over well with the other Capo. The whole thing about him not feeling emotions AND THEN HIM BEING LIKE “WHY IS MY HEART CLENCHING?!?” GAHHHH the Qewwwtest shit ever 😭✋
