So, if you have a larger pot or pan, or a roasting tray you’re trying to reduce a gravy or sauce in, the flexible zones make this nice and easy. Stop & Go settings, keep warm function and WiFi controls all add to the great features this hob provides. And if you opt for a Miele cooker hood the hob and hood will connect and talk to one other, automatically turning the cooker hood on at the optimum settings for whatever you’re cooking. But which FlexInduction hob is best? Well. That’s down to you and your individual needs, of course. However, since you asked for our professional advice, here’s what we think. Cast iron takes longer to heat up but the whole pot retains heat for much longer than stainless steel. You may also need to buy a new cooker hood. Most standard cooker hobs are 60 cm, and depending on the model you have (if it isn’t powerful enough for your new hob), you may need to buy a 90 cm hood for your new hob. Since this model doesn’t have a bridging function, you may need to stir the food a little more frequently if using a saucepan that’s bigger than the largest zone but, again, this has never caused me a problem.

If you’re looking for the best of the best then I absolutely love the Miele KM7684FL. It’s super sleek, built to last and full of amazing technology and cooking features! If the hob is especially grubby or shows signs of pot stains that can’t be removed using washing up liquid, try the vinegar and baking soda method. Combine one part baking soda with one part white vinegar in a bowl or spray bottle and apply it to the hob. Leave for 30 minutes, wipe off with a damp sponge and give it a buff with a dry cloth. Job done. Where you might have had 4 zones in a 60cm wide x 50cm deep hob/cooktop, you’ll likely have those 4 zones in a 90cm wide x 35cm deep panoramic hob.
