About this deal

Wow, what a beautiful scent! I absolutely love roses, so I decided to give this a chance. I've never tried Chloe EDP, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm in love with this. I got a bit roped into trying this by a nice sales lady pushing product, but I ended up loving it. I didn't buy it as I wanted to see how it would wear all day rather than going off ten minutes, but now that I have worn it this is going on my wish-list. hours after the initial application, the pink dewy rose dries down to a classic rose with warm undercurrents. The berry notes are gone. At this point, although not unique, this rose scent is still nice. It remains like this for two more hours until the big let-down. This is when the rose turns all musty and unpleasant. I got a strong musk note that, while probably being synthetic, does carry a bit of an animalic component which I don't love. This is where the fragrance remains until after six hours, the scent is gone without a trace. For me and for a strange reason, although I thought I had found my favorite edition, when I smelled of Roses de Chloe I fell in love. Rose tone and love? It's like a miracle for my tastes. The bottle with the ribbon is simple, the color of juice is attractive. About 2 months ago, I tried it again. This time with no expectations. It is what it is, and you know what? I loved it. I think I might just love it more than the original. The original is beautiful, but at times on my skin can be too high pitched and sharp rather than natural. Roses is warmer, muskier (which I like), and more natural.

Let the world see your femininity in all its bravery and boldness. The sparkling aroma of Chloé Rose Tangerine Eau de Toilette for women translates this notion so flawlessly that you will instantly draw the attention of everyone around you. give Chloé scents a wide berth. A wide berth. I don't like them. I don't like them. Period. It's like Chanel. I don't like them. Period. And if I, when I can afford yet another fragrance, do buy a bigger bottle ( I only have a 30 ml, with little left) I can allow myself to respray a bit during the day. Roses de Chloe is a feminine, lush rose scent, accented with citrusy notes to keep it from being girlish and rooting it in subtle sophistication. This kind of rose scent is romantic however, like taking a stroll through a rose garden in late Spring wearing a white dress. Ever since 2018’s release of Chloe Nomade it seems like there is a new team overseeing the perfumes. They have stopped being minimal variations on rose. That history made me wonder if a perfume called Rose Tangerine was a return to that. The perfumers which had me hoping for more are Michel Almairac and Sidonie Lancesseur. What they produced was a variation on rose but something more substantial in keeping with the more recent releases.

My Account

Imagine a fresh field of roses, soaked in dew as it dries in the sun. Precisely how it smells to me after it dries down.

I would not compare to Sisley Izia or Paul Smith Rose as Izia is much soapier, dryer and less sweet/soft and Paul Smith is much sharper and more tart. Izia is a very different kind of fragrance as Sisley has a very distinct sort of style and Paul Smith is a very linear sort of rose. Freedom, lightness and femininity – these are the attributes that Chloé perfumes have stood for since their founding. The Chloé story starts in 1952 in Paris, where Gabrielle Aghion and Jacques Lenoir launched their own fashion collection. They were among the pioneers who relaxed the strict requirements of “haute couture” and provided customers with a more comfortable and easily understood “ready-to-wear” line. When I first tried this a couple of years ago, I didn't like it. I think I was too into Chloe and expecting a different type of scent with this all together. While Chloe has roses, and was tempered with other notes, this has full-on heady roses straight from the get go that I wasn't expecting. So, I put the sample aside. On my skin, Rose Tangerine lasts a little more than 5 hours in total. The performance wasn’t too great and I wish I could squeeze a few more hours of wear out of it. Kind of a weak point. The new muse and face of the perfume is British actress Lucy Boynton who embodies the spontaneous, open character of Chloé woman with her natural charm.Chloé Signature fragrances are the perfect birthday gift or any occasion gift for her! The beautiful bottles and floral scents are the perfect way to recognise how special they are to you. As the scent continues, the top notes slowly fade away, and the roses take charge. It's a soapy and soft rose. It doesn't smell like authentic roses, especially when I compare it to something like Stella (which actually smells like true mossy, wild roses to me), but it's beautiful nonetheless. After a couple hours, the amber and musk become stronger; the rose matures and loses its playfulness and youthfulness. I'm very sensitive to amber and musk, so I was worried it might be too overpowering, but it's not.

The fragrance is enclosed in a modern, delicately pleated bottle adorned with a hand-tied ribbon. It's beautiful as a gift any time of the year or a treat to yourself. Testing this in the winter (almost) with an inside temperature of 64 degrees F. Two sprays on my right arm. It fits very nicely into the Chloe line without becoming lost in the signature aesthetic of the house. Hned na úvod vás okouzlí osvěžující tóny mandarinky, které dodávají vůni slunečnou zářivost. Po chvíli vystoupí do popředí černý rybíz, s nímž získává vůně důrazný charakter. Růže pak přináší do kompozice čistotu a delikátnost. Sladce dřevitý cedr spolu s měkkými tóny bílé ambry vše uzavírají a vůni příjemně zakulacují. I have a love/hate relationship with the original Chloe EDP. I could never understand the hype as it always smelt fizzy and sharp on my skin, a little like undiluted laundry powder. However during a recent trip to Thailand I wore a sample of the original Chloe for two consecutive days and surprisingly enjoyed the way Chloe smelt in a humid climate. Unfortunately upon returning to Australia (where we experience a dry heat), Chloe had lost much of its rosy, clean charm. I decided to test Chloe's flankers to see if they had anything in common with the scent I so dearly loved overseas. Roses de Chloe was first on my list of flankers to try.

I usually pass over rose fragrances but I often spend time googling whims like "Hogwarts house perfumes", and I'll let you guess which one of those two wound me up here. This one was suggested by a Fragrantica member for Ginny: pretty French roses for the feisty tomboy? The graceful but heavy glass bottle with its lovely warm-deep-pink cloth ribbon drew me in as well. A play of contrasts; something interesting must be going on here. Thank you, my Fragrantica friends... Now almost an hour has gone by and this is more palatable to my nose. But that is mainly because the scent is disappearing. It hasn't morphed into anything more on me, just faded quite a bit. I am betting that within the hour, it will be *poof*--all gone. I own Solinotes Rose and I would rather wear that than this one. This is a "dislike" for me as the rose is just too "there" to be enjoyable. My husband says "It isn't horrible but you have a lot of other perfumes that are nicer and not as harsh." Then he sneezed. I wore Noir Extreme last night and he loved that one (for frame of reference).
