This series has by far exceeded my expectations, the author has written a series to be very proud of. Not many authors can keep my attention over so many books by this one has. In fact I could happily read more about Isaac and Izzy and I really do hope that they pop up in any future stories! 5 stars is not enough for this book or any of them. The series as a whole was for me just out of this world. It’s definitely going to be one that I will read over and over again just so I can lose myself in the sexy mysterious world of Mr Isaac Holt – Shandi Boyes thank you for bringing him into my life!

I still have my original half review saved on my notes and maybe one day I’ll post it. But I was in a completely different place then than I am now. And I think that is one reason why I could never have finished this review before now. This boxed set is the best way to explore this series and Ms. Boyes’ work. It’s incredible value for money, four books for the price of one and no wait between books. So, if you are intrigued by the series or are thinking about whether to get the boxed set or not, dive right in and go for it, you are bound to love them just as much as I did. But be prepared to develop a serious addiction to Ms. Boyes stories. Enigma: The Complete Collection is a boxed set that contains the first four books in the Enigma series by Shandi Boyes. The four books are; I love that we still have chapters from both Isaac and Isabelle’s POV. We also get to find out more about Regan in this book too, the name floated about in previous books but we formally get introduced to the character in this book! I’m not quite sure I’m going to view cupcake frosting in the same light again thought after this book! The night that he was arrested and his home trashed by the FBI Isaac got himself drunk, He got Hugo to take him to his apartment forgetting Clara was there. When he awoke the next morning he was distressed to see Clara in the same bed as him. Being so drunk he could not remember if anything had happened between the both of them. His first rational thoughts were of Izzy even though she had spent the last few months seeing him while the FBI were investigating him and she was an FBI agent. When Clara spitefully tells Izzy that she and Isaac slept together, she decides to bring the matter up with Isaac, instead of listening to what he might have to say she storms out of their hotel room telling him it’s over.I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap." For me Isaac reached a new level of book boyfriend in this instalment in the series! What I wouldn’t give for Isaac to say I was his! He is so swoon-worthy! I have learnt over the past two books not to even try and guess what is going to happen in these books because the other has a fantastic talent for completely flipping the books on their head and she definitely did it in this one! I haven’t seen any of the twists coming in the first two books but there was absolutely NO WAY I anticipated this one! What is this author trying to do to me with these cliff-hangers!! The characters were annoying and the writing accentuated this by trying to use language and expressions that didn’t work or were just completely wrong. Plus everyone is constantly groaning and moaning and it’s weird. They never followed the rules at all. Especially during her murder trial, they were completely careless about seeing each other without real regards to the consequences. The review I started when I first finished is saved in my notes on my phone. I pass it and read it every single time I go to type out a review for another book and still I couldn’t finish it. I never felt like it was right or that it was enough to fully explain this book and the emotions I felt and my love for this story. So, this is my review.

Isaac and Izzy are not only in a fight for her freedom on murder charges but they are also in for a fight of their life for their relationship. With the evidence against Izzy looking more like planted evidence Regan is now sure she can get Izzy off the murder charges but that will have to wait until it goes to court for the judge to decide. Until he judge makes his ruling there is nothing Isaac and Izzy can do but wait. However with the one single indiscretion Isaac has had since he and Izzy became a couple hanging over his head he is in a mess and everything is worthless to him if he doesn’t have Izzy in his life. Enigma of Life: Isaac’s Story is a five star novel by Shandi Boyes. This book is book number six in the Perception series. This book can be read as a standalone since Isaac is normally such an insignificant character in the other books. You may not even remember him fully! But not anymore. Isabelle is flying to her new job. Boy, she hates to fly. She is so deathly afraid of flying that on the first leg of her journey, she didn't even let go of her death grip on the armrest the entire flight. Now, she has to do it all over again on the second leg. Thankfully, this is a much shorter flight for her. As she is going through the airport, she literally falls into the most handsome gentleman she has ever seen. He is very much dressed to impress and is a very confident man. As he tries to balance her and help her up with her things, they bump heads again. He can't help but be amused at all that is happening right now. He then invites her to the lounge to wait with him until her flight. She graciously accepts until she realizes how pitifully undressed she would be for a place like that. He tells her it won't matter, and she follows him inside. Once there, he reaches behind the bar like he owns the place. He gets some ice for her eye and gets some glasses for their drink. The bartender brings over the whiskey like he knows exactly what Isaac wants. After the drink, Isabelle realizes she is going to be late for her flight if she doesn't hurry. She thanks her gentleman and runs out the door. Little does she know, he has a plan to see her on the next flight. He helps her calm her nerves and entices her in every way imaginable. She knows she needs to stay away from him. He invites her as a one and done deal to a club that Saturday. After their encounter, she can't get him out of her head. She hopes one day she will see him again but also knows she cannot become involved with him. Ever. The Ophelia story at the end was complete and utter bullshit. Why?!? Why bring that into the end. That was awful. She asks Regina why he is being investigated and is told because he made his first million dollars by the time he was twenty.I won’t,” he breathes out with a relieved sigh. “I’ll tell her you’re indisposed or some shit. She loves me, so she’ll believe me.” holy shit. i think i start every review off when i say this but i was engrossed in this book. i could not put it down. the amount of spice in this book could satisfy me for a good month. i think i drooled a bit too much reading this book. this was my first shadi boyes book and obviously not my last (i’m almost done with book two in this series). Isaac and Izzy are still our main characters that we are following, but we see a lot of the same supporting people too, like Isaacs right hand man, Hugo, amongst others. Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. Izzy is arrested and being framed for murder. “I knew something wasn’t right when the heaviness that has been plaguing my chest the past week amplified. But I never expected it to be something as mammoth as this. The beautiful, kind-hearted, never says a bad word about anyone, Isabelle has been arrested for murder. You think I would have recognized the signs. The protectiveness she displayed earlier today when I said I didn’t need her to protect me. Her bold statement about not being able to breathe without me in her life. The fact that she allowed her hands to become stained to help my family. They were all signs I should have been watching for. Isabelle’s possessiveness of me is just as paramount as my protectiveness of her. I would do anything in my power to protect her, anything at all. Obviously, Isabelle, fells the same way about me.” Understood.” His tone is so clipped, I imagine him giving me the one-finger salute before a better idea to even the score pops into his head. “And I appreciate your belief she’ll beg for me to come inside. I’m a pretty lovabl—” Isabelle is setting of on her first assignment for the FBI. She is nervous and has a fear of flying, she’s making her way through the airport when she literally runs into the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. He ends up helping her overcome her fears, distracting her and making her feel at ease, she is drawn to him- and they have a connection that’s electric. He intrigues her like no one else ever has before. But when she arrives at her destination she is given a file that will help brief her on her assignment, when she opens it, she sees the sexy face of the man who’d helped on the flight.
