This is the first time we have seen young Prince Adam and young Cringer since Creatures from the Tar Swamp. In this episode it appears that Cringer could not speak much during his youth, and yet in 'Creatures From The Tar Swamp' the young tiger appears to be very well spoken." In the 2002 series, Hawke is a warrior that is loyal to Stratos. She later was present with the Avionian representatives who are members of King Randor's council. Starchild (voiced by Linda Gary) is a beautiful young girl, apparently between six and seven years old. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and she wears an outfit which resembles a red one-piece bathing suit with a yellow star and white boots. She has incredible magical powers, which she describes as feelings. Said powers cause a glow to appear around those she loves; the Starchild can use this "glow" to defend herself from those who would exploit her abilities for selfish ends, as in the Filmation episode "The Starchild" when the Tree People and the Cave Dwellers wanted custody of her. She also appears in the Larry DiTillio episode "Bargain with Evil", in which she combines her energy with that of another sorceress to open an inter-dimensional gateway. In The Key to Castle Grayskull, Battle Cat remarks that the jungle he and He-Man are exploring is his birthplace, where he spent much of his youth, presumably as Cringer. He was not present during the events that first caused Adam to become He-Man, and did not join the hero as Battle Cat until much later. Cringer himself wonders aloud how he was chose him for such work, suggesting that he himself does not understand his qualifications. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is a computer-animated superhero television series developed by Rob David and is a reimagining of the 1983 series of the same name. Her powers include; telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, teleportation, large scale energy barriers, mystics bolts, illusion projection and can polymorph. She can also create portals to various worlds, dimensions and even across time. It is she who bestows on Prince Adam the power to become He-Man. With Grayskulls magic focused by the power sword, He-Man has inexhaustible access to Grayskulls power. In the original animated series, the Sorceress cannot leave the castle for long periods of time unless she utilizes the “Crystal of Ala-nah”. It allows her to use the power of Grayskull and remain in her true-form temporarily. Once the crystal is exhausted, her link to Grayskull diminishes and she will revert to her falcon form, Zoar. In the The Secret of the Sword movie, which sequentially follows season two of the original animated series (in a unified continuity), it is the Sorceress who sends He-Man on the quest to find and rescue his long lost twin sister Princess Adora (who later becomes She-Ra ).

The original Battle Cat, based off an earlier Mattel design for a safari-themed toyline, is a moulded plastic figure with zero articulation; its legs are fixed and cannot move. The figure comes with a removable helmet and saddle (allowing for the closest we ever got to a Cringer toy, albeit a ferocious one).
