At night I used the Serum and the Lift & Luminate Night Cream after thoroughly cleansing and using an acid toner but no other additional products. At the end of the first week my skin looked fresh and smooth but I didn’t notice any obvious changes. Bottom Line: No 7 Restore and Renew Night Cream is meant to be an anti-aging night cream, but make sure you are using it safely.BIG MISTAKE! After first day I got a sore dry spot on my upper lip but did not connect it to the serum. The moisturizer also has a strong floral fragrance, which makes using it each morning feel like a treat, but some may find it overpowering. Sara is probably right in thinking that you might be allergic to something in your Lift and Luminate cream. SAP (the vit C derivative, not the enterprise software, obvs) is a promising derivative that has great stability up to pH 7. The challenge with it thoughis skin penetration. Unfortunately, it seems to be limited, or to quote a great article from theJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology "topically applied ascorbyl phosphate salts are, at very best, poorly absorbed in comparison with AA". Regarding conversion to AA, there seems to be no data about it, so we can neither deny nor confirm it.
