Elaina is being force to work for Max in getting his people out of jail. If she doesn't he said that he'll kill her but she knows that it'll never really end for her in a good way either way. Kye still loves her and tries to protect her but there's only so much he can do at the moment. She starts getting people out but is getting frustrated because she's had to give up everything she worked for due to being forced to work her father's debt off. When one of the club members comes and tells her that Kye's loyalty is going to come into question. It'll come down to her or Kye and he tells her that maybe she should think of someone other than herself for once. Then she looks at his hand and he holds a gun out to her. What will Elaina do? Can Kye save them both? Rough Love - This story finally gives us the answers to the questions that have come up in Books 1-5...almost. I won't reveal any spoilers but I felt that a major story line was never really answered and this was very surprising. With each book in this series, we were given additional parts of the "final" mystery only to find once it is revealed that there are still some question. That being said, I LOVED this ending and this series even with the "missing answers."

Sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger Grier has a hard time really coming clean about his wants and desires for Fiona because of what Max had been stern about in the past. Despite the demands by Max changing 180, Grier denies himself so much that when he and Fi finally are with each other, neither of them seem to know what is happening between them emotionally. It’s like they feel the same but feel like they aren’t showing it. Either way, I’m so ready for book 5. Summer Cooper knows how to keep the reader on the edge of their seats and wanting more. Her writing is addicting and I’m proud to say I’m a junkie for her books.It is about: a Screaming Demons MC rider (Sage) is confronted by a blast from the past (an old love, Laura aka Lorraine) & will have to make a decision between her & Mia (the leader of the “Hell Kats”) naturally a rival MC gang (the Omens) is still making trouble. I have read other series that do switch to a different character in the following book, but the other characters were still hanging off a cliff and just vanished. I went to the next and the next that followed just pushing off the character the actual series is named after. This series does not. Kye and Eliana found their happiness, but Kye’s bff is still looking for his without sitting here wondering what happened to them. There are some grammatical issues, primarily missing words, misspellings and/or typos, but nothing difficult to interpret. I uploaded my notes to goodreads for anyone interested. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow and visualization. I have to admit that I did a lot of skimming during this read. I hate skimming but I couldn’t have finished without it. None of the other books in this series had as much inner dialogue with the main characters. A really good thing happened at the end though. We find out who Lorraine really is! PLOT TWIST! Even though I make it sound confusing, it all makes a weird kind of sense after you’re done reading. In this book we end with another cliffhanger with Grier wanting to explain to Fiona but he can’t without endangering innocent people.

To the club, he is still a traitor and he makes it his mission to keep Fiona safe, find out who has been stealing from the Demons and show the club that he is not and has never been a traitor. Fiona is having a rough pregnancy and while her body craves Grier, she has a fine line to walk as she struggles to maintain the upper hand as head of the MC while balancing her love of Grier all the while trying to see if he can really be trusted. Another cliffhanger that leaves you wondering whether Fiona, her baby, Grier and the Screaming Demons will survive. She found her own happily ever after with a martial arts fighter who also happens to be an adorable IT geek! Now, she loves to write about hot alpha males that come with a pretty face and covered in tough-as-nails muscle... who are secretly looking for their true soul mate (shhh…)!

This amazing MC romance is a fantastic addition to the series “Screaming Demons MC” & the continuation of the story from “Rough Choice #3”into this book “Rough Return #4” is smooth & flawless. The characters (Grier & Fiona) are quite complex individuals & have excellent chemistry between them but at times they are quite confrontational & react with realistic emotions to the unconventional situations they find themselves in. The well-paced plot is intriguing & full of unexpected situations. There are good scene descriptions & world building.

You don’t really know who’s friend or foe. It’s also got some pretty twisted characters in it. The suspense has you on the edge of your seat until the last word, which ends in another nail-biting cliffhanger. What I liked- what a difference between the first two books and this one! First off, the writing and editing is much tighter in this book and they’ve trimmed most of the excessive material. I don’t feel like this book should have been combined with another. And Kye became likable! He is no longer concerned about power (now he’s mainly concerned about survival) and Eliana is his top priority. They are able to open up their love for each other. We finally get some heat in this book and the author keeps it pretty classy. No crude words are used during the love scenes, yet they are steamy. The couple and their friend Grier work together effectively, and you can really see evidence of their friendship. And the book was never boring. In this book we have the continued story Kye and Eliana (Eli). Kye has straddle the fence with his life in the Demons Motorcycle club where he helped Max, the man who was like a father to him build an empire based on illegal activities. However, for 10 years has also always wanted a life with Eli. Now he must choose. You haven’t slept with anyone because you didn’t care about them that way. And I… well I have. I’ve been with women I didn’t care about. When they’d had their fill they wanted to be left alone. I’m not proud of it, but it’s the truth,” he said and Eliana tried to swallow her jealousy. “I’m not good at intimacy I guess. I honestly thought it would be best if I let you sleep.”
