About this deal

After eight weeks of testing, it completely transformed our skin. It’s softer, plumper, and brighter, but perhaps the most significant improvement was related to skin texture. Our editor who tested it has always had dry, combination skin with some acne, but after using this serum, those concerns are long gone. Nevertheless, we really did enjoy using this serum. We liked the liquid USP – it gave it a bit of a sense of difference after testing a bunch of quite gloopy gels. We will say though, to oily skin types, it could be a little off-putting – we wouldn't say it's oily, but if you're oil-averse, you may not like the slight film it leaves on your skin. Personally, we found this serum to be as hydrating as it claims, but even more impressive than its hydrating abilities were its brightening properties. We can probably thank the blend of antioxidants for the noticeable boost in brightness, which was unexpected but wholeheartedly welcomed. It also improved clogged pores and smoothed out some bumpy texture, so if that doesn’t prove it’s suitable for oily skin, we don’t know what will. Wu B, Li Y-M, Liu Y-C. One thing I will also say, is that it works well as a base for your make-up - particularly foundation - as it almost felt like a primer that prepped the skin. Oxidative damage (from the sun’s ultraviolet rays and the body’s regular metabolic functions) also impacts the synthesis of collagen, the protein that makes up skin and other connective tissues. And I'm a fan of a bargain when it comes to skincare - or in any case, really - so, of course, I decided to see if it was worth all the hype. Casale M, Moffa A, Vella P, et al. A brilliant hydrator, hyaluronic acid helps to plump up and retain moisture in the skin, smoothing away fine lines and wrinkles and giving skin a younger, fresher feel. The serum promises softer, firmer skin, and we did experience those benefits. In fact, plumping was one of the biggest benefits we noticed. We saw a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles but an increase in fullness. After using this serum regularly, our skin looked healthier and more glowy.

According to dermatologists, hyaluronic acid is a gentle active ingredient that can be paired with many other active ingredients. You can use hyaluronic acid in the same routine as ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and others. However, you should try to avoid layering multiple products that each contain hyaluronic acid. In doing so, you could cause some irritation from using too much of the same ingredient.
