About this deal

Two white, two Aubergine and three grey T-5Rs were also produced. The white and aubergine cars were preproduction cars whereas the grey ones were produced by special demand for the Arabian market. In the main washroom on the offside (away from any awning), you will find a large roller blind on the opaque window behind the toilet. A salad-bowl-style basin with a chrome tap sits in front of a large mirror. You also get a ladder radiator in here. Beds in the Coachman Laser Xcel 850 In the spring of 1996, Volvo introduced a new high-performance Volvo 850 as a replacement for the hugely successful limited edition T-5R. [36] [43] Volvo decided there should be no direct successor to the T-5R, but due to its success, Volvo decided to develop a new high-performance model. [36] The new car, based on the T-5R, was called the 850 R, which again came in either saloon or sport wagon editions. [36] [43] The Volvo 850 was introduced in Europe in June 1991, [16] as a 1992 model year car. It was launched with the slogan "A dynamic car with four unique innovations" [17] which referred to the newly developed five cylinder transverse engine, the Delta-link rear axle, [18] the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS), [19] and the self-adjusting seatbelt reel for the front seats. [15] [20] Initially, only the saloon was available, [17] badged as 850 GLT, and came with a choice of 2.5L or 2.0L 20V engines. [21] La Mancelle Liberty 490 SA: a stylish appearance and brilliant build quality make this a tempting tourer.

In most performance aspects, the SSD 850 EVO came close to or even bested the SSD 850 Pro—which is still the fastest SATA drive we've tested to date. The SSD 850 Pro only decisively trumped this latest EVO drive on warranty—and even there, the SSD 850 EVO's five-year warranty beats that of most other mainstream drives by a couple of years. Only 346 sedans in this color were imported into the United States; wagons, only 49. [40] Cream Yellow was marketed in the Australian market as 'Faded Yellow' to compensate for the unrelenting Australian sun. The Gothenburg engineers were aware of the 1990s paint technology, and the fact it wouldn't retain its deep luster over the course of time, and hence, the clever marketing descriptor, 'Faded Yellow' was coined. That's still a solid 6MB per second ahead of the 512GB model of Crucial's MX100 drive. AS-SSD 4K Read & Write Speeds

Even most enthusiast-class SATA drives couldn't beat it in our testing. Conclusion

Just note that the 1TB-capacity version of the SSD 850 EVO may deliver slightly different performance. The 500GB model we tested, as well as the lesser capacities, use a dual-core MGX controller, while the 1TB version uses the same MEX controller that's in the SSD 850 Pro. Samsung claims that performance with either controller should be similar, but that the MEX controller has an extra core, which isn't very helpful with smaller drive capacities, but consumes extra power. (We didn't have an opportunity to test the 1TB version, just the 500GB.) Design and Features In 1996, a "Platinum" edition of the 850 Turbo was available. The exterior paint for these models came in a metallic pearl platinum-colour and had special 16inch alloy wheels. The interior was fitted with leather seats and burled walnut accents. Only 1,400 of these were imported for the U.S. market. 1,000 of which came in the sedan variant, while the other 400 were wagons. [35]R". www.r-modelle.info (in German). In this real-world test, we first copy the test folder onto the SSD, which has been secure-erased and reformatted before the process begins. We then make a folder-to-folder copy of the file on the SSD itself, and time the process. We use the software TeraCopy to manage the file transfer and time the process precisely. The Secondary Storage Test is a subtest under Futuremark's larger PCMark 7 benchmarking suite. It employs a different approach to drive testing than pure speed tests like AS-SSD, which we'll get to in a moment. PCMark 7 runs a series of scripted tasks typical of everyday PC operation and disk accesses. It measures app launches, video-conversion tasks, image import, operations in Windows Media Center, and more. The result is a proprietary numeric score; the higher the number, the better. Still, those comparisons are based on the launch price, or MSRP, for the SSD 850 EVO. The street prices of SSDs often wind up being much lower than the MSRP—especially once a couple of months have passed. So while the initial pricing on the SSD 850 EVO might seem a touch high versus some of its competition, we'll have to wait and see just how much of a "bargain" this new drive ends up being once it's been out for a bit.

[36] Originally, it was to be called 850 Plus 5. [37] The vehicle was based on the 850 Turbo, utilizing the B5234T5 engine with a special ECU ( Bosch #628 in U.S and #629 in EU) that added an additional 2psi (0.1bar) of turbocharger boost pressure, [38] giving the engine an extra 18hp (13kW; 18PS) for a total of 243hp (181kW) [39] and 250lb⋅ft (340N⋅m) of torque. The engine was mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission, the latter of which was not available in the United States. The T-5R was renowned as a sleeper car; despite its boxy, understated appearance, it boasted a drag coefficient of 0.29 and was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60mph (97km/h) in 5.8 – 6.0 seconds (depending on transmission and body type). The top speed was electronically limited to 152.2mph (244.9km/h). The vehicle came standard with Pirelli P-Zero tyres, providing lateral grip of 0.88 g. The engine tuning was co-developed with Porsche, as was the transmission and other powertrain components. Porsche also aided in designing some of the interior, such as the Alcantara seat inserts. These cars came as standard with nearly every feature available, only a handful of options – such as heated rear seats – were available. On the North American market only two options could be chosen, a trunk-mounted Alpine 6-CD changer and no-cost 16" wheels for a smoother, more comfortable ride and driveability in snow when using all-season tires. This score is useful in gauging everyday, general performance versus other drives. Note that, like with our 10GB File Copy Test, we secure-erase all SSDs using the utility Parted Magic before running PCMark 7's Secondary Storage Test. The rest of the Magician suite, though, is indeed a value-add. The top-level menu of the Magician utility is as good an SSD control center as we have seen...
