About this deal

Lidl claims its Lupilu nappies have magical air tubes with absorbent channels in the core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours (eight hours for the newborn range). They have soft fleece and an elasticated waistband for a comfortable fit. Its nappy range covers sizes one through to six, with three additional plus sizes. Have you used Aldi Mamia nappy pants before? Yes I had used the size 6 nappy pants when my toddler was potty training. The nappy pants have easy tear away sides and all-round stretch, making them as convenient as pants but with the absorbency of a nappy. Flexible leg cuffs also help prevent any leaks. They are not very absorbent, but this isn't an issue if you are potty training, only if you are using them in advance of that stage. They are not absorbent enough to use overnight.

Lidl also sells a premium range which the discount supermarket claims offers advanced comfort, fit and flexibility. These nappies come in sizes one to five. I’d say they have always been good for leaking till they got to stage 3, I’d also say these ones seem to be a lot better. Reusable nappies have come a long way since terry squares. Poppers, velcro or plastic clips are used instead of pins and they often come as a one-size nappy which will fit for several years. There are a range of colourful and cool designs from brands available too. Reusable nappies are also chemical-free and, long-term, work out cheaper than disposables. Bethany: I would buy these over and over nappies on the product as the price is great but also I have had no issues with the nappy either. I think the price is what makes it stand out the most but also the awards they have won. To be honest I was quite wary of buying them as they are so cheap but since trying them there is not any other brand I would trust. My baby also seems to not have an issue with them either and have not experienced any nappy rashes whilst using these.Would you consider changing from your current brand of nappies to Aldi Mamia and why? I already use Mamia nappies No leaks, snug fit, enough frills to avoid “poonami overflow” and perfect for my baby’s sensitive skin.’ What brands of nappy pants do you currently use most often? If you use Mamia, what other brands do you use? Pampers. We used Huggies and Sainsbury's little ones pants in the past, but they were both poor quality at the sides, the fake velcro constantly came undone and the pants would fall off. Pampers have stretchy sides so don't have this problem Aldi says its nappies have an ultra-dry air system with a fast-absorbing core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours. The nappies don’t contain any perfume, lotion or latex and are designed to be soft and breathable with a slim design for free movement. Aldi's nappies are available in sizes one to six, and there are also plus sizes for extra absorbency. Lidl Lupilu Nappies

Absorbency. My toddler is potty trained and dry all day but will sometimes not wake at night to go to the toilet, resulting in an accident. I need something that will allow him to sleep if he does do a wee at night and not leak everywhere. Add that to the results from OUR tests with parents, who liked them for all the specific reasons that we love a good nappy: We buy Mamia because not only is it great value for money but we have found it to be the most absorbent and has the most accurate sizing; beating all of the leading brands that we have tried.’ You can resell them or keep them if you’re planning to have more children in the future. And you can buy second-hand. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and some also come with a disposable or a washable liner which you use to collect your baby’s poo. Our go-to nappies are Mamia from Aldi. They’re cheap and they don’t smell when they are full of wee, which I’ve found other nappies tend to do. They don’t leave my baby with a sore bottom - and I’ve been using since birth! If your baby suffers from leakage, it’s time to go up a size. They’re absolutely amazing value for money. I’m now onto nappy pants and they are fab too! I highly recommend them.” I would when we came to potty training, due to the price, but they might be too small by that stage They are easy to pull up and my child can do it themselves. The nappy is easy to remove with the tear away sides.I haven’t actually used Aldi Mamia nappy pants before. My go to for my toddler is pampers or huggies pull ups at nighttime.

They are thin so don't take up lots of room in a drawer like some other brands of nappy pants. My son also found them comfy and soft and didn't immediately cry to have them taken off What are the best features of the Aldi Mamia nappy pants that make them ‘mum friendly'? (i.e: ease of use/leaks/storage etc.) We go with Aldi nappies every time! I used them from newborn to size 6+ with my son, and am now using them again with my daughter. They are great value for money and, in my opinion, are better than some of the more expensive brands.”

The other day I spotted Pampers Baby-Dry nappies in size 4 in Wilkinsons and they were reduced to half price making them pretty much the same price per nappy as Mamia. I thought this was a good time to see what the Pampers nappies were like in a bigger size. In this post I will compare these two nappy brands in this size and let you know which one delivers… The tear away sides make them easy to take off in the morning, without having to take his pj bottoms off. They also make it easy to clear up any accidents.
