About this deal

Show your class a box of crayons – some broken, some stubby, some whole, and some with the wrappers taken off. Ask the children to talk in pairs or groups about why the crayons look like this: As the name suggests, Light Hot Pink is essentially a diluted, pastel version of hot pink. This color is probably what most people would picture when imagining a pale pink. There’s enough green and blue present to create just a hint of a cool undertone, but Light Hot Pink isn’t purple in the slightest. Bright pink is a vibrant, rich pink color that is a little lighter and cooler than neon pink and warmer and brighter than dark pink. Ask the children to pretend they are an item in their pencil case. They could be a rubber, a pencil sharpener, a pair of scissors, and so on. They are going to write to their owner to talk about what is wrong with the way they are being treated, and how they would like to be treated in the future. Talk with the children about the most appropriate language, format and structure for writing their letters.

Old Rose is one of the many muted, mauve-like shades of pink out there. The name is especially fitting, as it’s very similar to the color of a pink rose as it starts to wilt. Its vintage appeal makes it ideal for historically-inspired projects. It’s also a great accent color against paler neutrals like taupe, ivory, and light gray. Though it’s much more pink than the red glow of a strawberry, Wild Strawberry has a bright and cheerful spirit that can add life to any project. It looks great in very bright color palettes, but it can also add a burst of color to more neutral shades. Strawberry is a light to medium shade of pink with red undertones. It is similar in color to an under ripe strawberry.Crayola unveils 'Colors of the World' crayons representing 40 skin tones (by Brett Gubitosi)". New York Post. 21 May 2020 . Retrieved July 9, 2020.

This dusty shade of pink does get somewhat close to the color of rose gold used in jewelry. It looks especially nice beside ivory and pale gray. Purple Crayon wags a finger, looking stern. A messy fire-breathing dragon and a scribbled wizard hold bunches of grapes. Following previous issues with scented crayons in 1994 and 1995, Binney & Smith released a new line, known as "Magic Scent" crayons in 1997. None of the crayons were named after or given the scent of foods. The 16 crayons all consisted of regular Crayola colors. [2] Baby's Powder (White)Misty Rose is a gentle pastel pink with just a hint of peach. If you’re looking for a wall color with a little more warmth than eggshell or other forms of off-white, Misty Rose is a great option. It looks beautiful alongside very pale pastel blues and greens. As you can see in the CMYK value, it has slightly more yellow than magenta, which explains its peachy glow. Green Crayon whispers his story. Behind him, a dinosaur gives a thumbs-up to a pair of crocodiles tossing cans into a recycling bin. This warm, magenta-rich pink can add some energy to any project. As a variant of raspberry pink, it’s especially well-suited to summer-inspired designs. As you can see from the CMYK values, it has larger amounts of yellow and magenta than many pink shades. This interestingly named color has a somewhat metallic look about it. It’s one of the pink shades named and used by Crayola. It first appeared in a set of colored pencils. Steel Pink is a great choice if you like magenta but would prefer something that’s a little darker and more subdued. This aptly-named color is roughly the tone of a healthy amount of redness in the face. It’s also close to the color of many shades of powdered blush. Its slightly dusky quality makes it look especially good in patterns with cocoa browns or soft, pale grays.
