About this deal

Children find that using their creativity is inspiring and motivating, therefore they are more likely to be engaged in learning about the topic. We love to hear from you so please don’t hesitate to write a comment in the review box of our resources and let us know how you’re getting on! Why use craft activities with children at Halloween?

This Halloween Bunting Activity is great to use with children! Simply cut out the bats and create your bunting. Again, this is a lovely one to use in your learning environment around the time of Halloween! Cut out curved thin strips of coloured card (I used green so I could use the same piece of card for pumpkin stalks). This 3D craft is one of our newest and I’m not ashamed to say that I absolutely love it! It has two different designs so you can color in your house yourself or opt for our ready colored design. This haunted house makes fantastic Halloween decor too as you can put an LED light inside the finished craft and it will light up like a little lantern. Cut and Paste Pumpkin Craft This cut and paste spider craft is a great way to create some spooky decor and as well as the spider itself you’ll also find a spider’s web template in the PDF file that you can cut out. If you’re still wanting more Halloween craft ideas, why not create your own bunting from scratch? The Display Bunting Maker above means you can design and print your own through Twinkl Create. There are lots of templates available, too, if you need some more inspiration. This could be a fun activity for you and your child to choose and create something together. Cut out small rectangles of white paper or card, fold them in half, cut out a rectangle from the middle, unfold.

There’s a good selection of both cute and scary ghost faces to cut and paste so kids can choose their favorite. This basic outline is one of my favorites as it’s great for trying out some easy bat crafts. In the post you’ll find details about our bat silhouette and mosaic crafts as well as loads more easy ideas that you can try out. Frankenstein Template With the promise of endless sweets and treats, Halloween is an exciting time of year for many younger children, and you can harness that excitement in school by creating a wonderful Halloween display. With colourful designs featuring bats, cauldrons, vampires, werewolves, witches and other lovely motifs, this bunting can add the ideal finishing touch to any spine-chilling display or working wall. Don't worry if Design Space shuffles the letters around, they're going to be glued down separately anyways.

Add ribbon to the top of the bunting triangles leaving about 1/4 of an inch heading to allow for holes to be punched in the next step. If you do not have a small hole punch, be sure you leave enough space to accommodate the size hole of your hole punch. Of course you don’t have to use this template to make a Halloween garland, if you just want to make some cut and paste ghost crafts to practice scissor skills then that’s great too. Ghost Bunting Materials The great thing about buntings is they are incredibly easy to pull together ( I made mine in under an hour) and are highly customizable. When making it with my 3 year old I did all the cutting out first and then we assembled them one shape at a time. I made one of each style to show her how they could look and she copied. This bat craft template is simple to use and a brilliant way to add some seasonal decorations to the learning environment. Why not cut these bats out and hang them from the ceiling?

If you have a suitable size gingerbread man cookie cutter it would be perfect to use as a template, otherwise as before draw your template on white paper until you are happy with it and cut it out. Little Pumpkins Face Theme Halloween Bunting: And if you’re after a slightly different bunting design, then this gourd-geous resource is sure to be a big hit. Encourage the child to take a segment at a time to draw small lines between the longer radiating lines. Cut a piece of string the length of your laid out shapes with some extra on each end to allow you to tie the bunting up.

Draw and cut out a witches hat shape on paper to use as a template (this means you can keep adjusting the shape until you are happy). When all the glue is dry (and depending on your child that might take a while) it's time to assemble the bunting.
