This was one series of books that I really didn't want to end. The art is so whimsical and fun and Mei & Satsuki are brave and sweet! The Totoros are incredibly cute, Cat Bus is both endearingly adorable and kind of creepy. But everything was so perfect.

Only qualms would be the ending of it all but only because we wanted more; another masterpiece from Hayao Miyazaki. Mei's older, more serious preteen sister. She looks up to her, often imitating what she does. She even follows her to school, and sits in her class to the amusement of Satsuki's classmates.
