What can I say? I just love Keri’s writing style and book content. I also love the fact that she has you guessing, constantly, about the outcome. The premise had me hooked and I knew I needed to read it. It was a pretty good book, it kept me hooked trying to figure out what happened. I got the kindle version through Prime Reading, I really wasn't sure going in if I'd like it or not. Half way through, I felt disappointed as I thought I knew what the ending plot twist would be later on. The Sleepover' is a chilling, unnerving read about a nightmarish situation. Sadly, the built up energy went nowhere and I was left disappointed.I adore the colour palette of this book: dusky pinks, terracotta reds and sandy yellows. The naïve, angular illustrations are full of character and the text has an attractively simple style. It's really good, and I will enjoy reading it again, but the character development wasn't as great as I would expect from a thriller, and the main character was a bit one-dimensional for me. All in all, this book is really good, and I will likely read it again. It will be a while, but this story was unique, and I really appreciated all the little twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, the story would switch, and I would be confused all over again. I actually love stories like these. It's one of the reasons I love Saw 1. This story is narrated by Daisy, she has a group of friends Amy, Bella, Chole & Emily. Amy & Bella are best friends, Chole & Emily are best friends, & daisy really likes Emily & wishes to be her best friend. All girls are good mannered except Chole & Chole hurts Daisy alot. When they start having sleepovers for each other's birthday party, chole makes it hard for Daisy, who howsoever never complains about Chole & is greatful that she got invited to the sleepovers.
