About this deal

Then I just have a pounds and pounds of strawberries sitting in my fridge or on my counter smelling amazing while I try to eat my way through them before they rot.

Can adjust sweetness: In this recipe, sweetness is given by the strawberry syrup. Adjust the level of sweetness by adding less syrup. The strawberry flavour can be boosted by adding 1-2 teaspoons of freeze-dried strawberry powder. Adam Ried adds strawberry jam and lemon juice to the mix, creating a shake that really sings of strawberries.Optional: cream – 2-3 tablespoons of cream on top will make the milk tea extra creamy and decadent. My second straw was more cleverly managed and I got a nice balance of flavour and no milk left over afterward, although I did discover that rate of suction really does make a difference to flavour intensity. I found the straws to be a little bulkier than I liked, but the tastiness really outweighed any issues :) This Easy Homemade Strawberry Milk for One or Two, made with just four ingredients, is fruity, creamy, subtly sweet, and pretty much all your strawberries and cream dreams come to life. And since I figure that I’m probably not the only one with an overabundance of strawberries right about now, I thought that I’d share something to make with some of those extras: Fresh strawberries, diced for the syrup. I’d recommend using fresh strawberries rather than frozen for a bright red color. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain syrup into a small bowl or cup. Discard strawberries. Mix 3 tablespoons or about 2/3 of the syrup into your very cold milk. Stir and then add more syrup to taste. Add food coloring if desired.

Strawberry Syrup – great for making ahead and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. It can also be frozen for up to 3-4 months. I love using whole or 2 percent milk for this recipe, but feel free to use the milk of your choice as long as it is unsweetened (the syrup is already sweet enough). While they are slightly more expensive on a per glass basis than buying pre-made flavoured milk I found they lasted longer and can be used for more than one glass of milk. The flavour was definitely superior to the powdered milk flavourings I have tried before. Easy to make: Preparing this recipe requires no special skill or equipment. From start to finish, the recipe takes around 30 minutes to put together. Also, apart from the tapioca pearls, all ingredients can be found in most supermarkets. Summer is the best time to explore natural seasonal flavours and fruity boba milk teas. Strawberry milk tea is the best example of a seasonal drink that boasts tons of flavour and smells divine.
