Disney's The Jungle Book is a series of platform video games based on the 1967 Disney animated film of the same name. The game was released by Virgin Interactive Entertainment in 1994 for the Game Boy, Nintendo Entertainment System, Master System, Genesis/Mega Drive, Game Gear, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and MS-DOS. While gameplay is the same on all versions, technological differences between the systems forced changes – in some case drastic – in level design, resulting in six fairly different versions of the 'same' game. This article is largely based upon the Genesis version. Stewart, Marcus (September 23, 2021). "The Expanded Disney Classic Games Collection Includes The Jungle Book And SNES Aladdin". Game Informer . This is convenient for hiding unwanted sprites or preparing others that will be shown in the future. The VDP also provides an old collision detection function.

The first design of this console (commonly referred to as the ‘Model 1’) has the same video out port of the Master System. The subsequent ‘Model 2’ and ‘Model 3’ switched to a mini-DIN port instead. For demonstration purposes, a default palette is being used. A single 8x8 pixel tile. Some tiles found in VRAM.

As either Zeke and Julie, players were tasked with saving their neighbours from the undead, using weapons that ranged from tomatoes to bazookas. There were 55 levels, with an impressive array of strategies for taking out the zombies. If a Mega Drive game deserved a remake, this would get our vote. The story's art style draws heavy inspiration from the art style of the opening and ending animations of Sonic the Hedgehog CD. Important reading…an integral addition to a growing body of literature that argues for a radical shift in how businesses operate. ” —Kirkus

There can only be a maximum of 20 sprites per scan-line and 80 per screen (overflowing this will corrupt the whole layer). This was followed by a section of lovely artwork and... sprite sheets. Um. Well, everybody likes pixels and sprites and whatnot, but, sprite sheets. You can find these online. Tons of them, like in the book. So yeah, at first it's like "oh that's cute" and "I remember that!" but it gets very old, very fast, not to mention that the games represented are very, very few.Walt Disney's The Jungle Book is a series of video games based on the 1967 Disney animated film The Jungle Book, primarily released in 1994. It was first released by Virgin Interactive in 1993 for the Sega Master System. Conversions for the Game Boy, NES (for which it was one of the last titles released by a third-party developer), Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Super NES, and PC followed in 1994, and a remake for the Game Boy Advance was released in 2003. While gameplay is the same on all versions, technological differences between the systems forced changes – in some case drastic – in level design, resulting in six fairly different versions of the 'same' game. This article is largely based upon the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version. This is of course optional and beyond the requirements of the CC license, but I think it’s a nice detail that makes us, the random authors on the net, feel part of something bigger. Third-party publishing The only excuse you have for not having played Battletoads is being born after 1991 (it was originally a NES game, before receiving a superb Mega Drive port in 1993). Neither version of Super resonated with me in the same way the Mega Drive’s port of Hyper Fighting did. That said, I’d remain faithful to the series even at the turn of the millennium, when everyone else seemed to forget about it.
