About this deal

I get that you're scared and that you've been hurt. But doing what is easy and safe is no way to live, and a life without passion and love is so far beneath what you deserve.” Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up—which comes with the territory when you’re the human daughter of the Egyptian gods Isis and Osiris. This one starts out a little slow because Chang Geng is still young, but the plot ramps up pretty fast. I’m intrigued to see where this is going to go, especially since the poison is slowly driving him crazy. I love the devolving into insanity plots. I am hugely disappointed by The Chaos of Stars, mainly because I'm a HUGE fan of Egyptian mythology. But the book really fell flat for me. Let me break it down for you:

Isadora is brave to travel far from home and discover herself, but she's also full of hurt and spite for her parents. The transformation to understanding and caring for her parents again is slow and steady throughout the book until she becomes the heroine. She also slowly realizes that she can open herself up to other people and not be afraid of loss. Ry is a heartthrob who writes poetry -- what could be better? He's also patient with Isadora and doesn't hide his feelings from her. It's all a matter of perspective. And maybe we thought we were living one story, when if we look at it a little different, we can reframe everything - all out memories and attributes and experiences - and see that we're actually living a different story.” WOW. Yeah, this was excruciating to finish. At least it didn't take long. Isadora has got to be one of the worst YA female protagonists I've encountered in a while. Then of course she falls for an amazingly gorgeous Greek boy with the bluest blue eyes one can blue in a blue moon... guess who (or what) he really is? Hint: he's Greek. *facepalms*

When I first learned what The Chaos of Stars was about, I was afraid the pitiful sum of my knowledge on Egyptian mythology would cause me to do this book injustice. But instead of making me feel like the idiot I am, Kiersten White elegantly took care of that problem by including small mythology lessons with a humorous undertone at the beginning of each chapter. It is through them that I learned who is who and what is what, which helped me feel less lost and enjoy the story more. And what a story it was…

I made a strange discovery today on the job. I found a book. Okay, so I find a lot of books hidden in these tombs of forgotten books-but this book it hasn't been published yet. Why is an ARC in the Temple of the Forgotten? I must read it.

The translation is top notch. The illustrations are chef's kiss. I can't wait for the next volume. CAN'T WAIT FOR CUNNING CHANG GENG UPCOMING. Rereading is the best thing known to mankind. Gu Yun stealing a flute from a toddler will remain iconic. All the quotes are beautiful in this translation too. I thoroughly enjoyed this, both Gu Yun and Chang Geng were excellent characters and given Chang Geng's age we can expect the story to stretch over years possibly instead of just a few months. As hinted at above, The Chaos of Stars is a story about a very special girl with a very screwed-up family. Isadora is an ordinary girl born into extraordinary circumstances. Her life gets flipped, turned upside down (whoa…Fresh Prince moment right there…), after she finds out that she is not immortal. How could she be? The human child of Egyptian gods – seems a bit unfair. The Chaos of Stars, the fifth novel by author Kiersten White, has a lot of ups and downs but was overall an enjoyable read.

I need to be scholarly. After all, that's what Dr. MJ is scholarly when she's not fighting the Nazis with a bazooka and finding lost antiquities....different archeologist. I only visit storage units. That is one thing I don't want to read about especially in a YA book. And yes, I know she was retelling part of the Osiris book but...mind bleach please! Thus the 8 pointed arrows do not only indicate the 8 possible directions but it symbolizes the endless possibilities or directions that one can take in his life. I'm entertained, but I feel like I need more. For more context, this part is very introductorious and when is getting really better, the volume ends. You’ll be a great help to Mother, Horus says, flashing his falcon-bright eyes at me in a cold smile. PDF / EPUB File Name: The_Chaos_of_Stars_-_Kiersten_White.pdf, The_Chaos_of_Stars_-_Kiersten_White.epub Really enjoyed the characters, setting, and writing style as it's very reminiscent of my own so it was really nice to see somebody who writes similarly to how I do. Sha Po Lang was on top of my Danmei TBR, i absolutely love Qi Ye ( Lord Seventh ) by Priest and everyone keep saying SPL is their fav book from Priest and i was beyond happy when Sevenseas decided to publish this and immeditely started it the day i receive the physical book (which is own the prettiest design) 😍

It's pretty interesting so far. I'd like maps and art of the machines and stuff to get a good idea of the world. Not sure what the overarching plot is yet (if any?) so I have nothing to say on that. The characters are definitely interesting. I like that the main character isn't what I've seen before. He almost feels like a normal guy instead of someone super good at everything with huge ambitions. It seems like he has pretty small goals and has to work hard to accomplish things and it makes him really relatable. I also like that there are several disability rep characters. My father came in, smiling his soft, distant smile, and my mother followed him, beaming and carrying a large jar in her hands. It was carved with glyphs, the lid shaped like a cat’s head, all made in precious alabaster. It’s such a pleasant surprise when I invite my son to a family dinner and you tag along, too. My mother’s smile has even more teeth. Starburst earrings, stainless steel earrings, gothic jewelry, mens earrings, gothic earrings, Starburst studs, North Star earrings Sometimes it hurts to be forgotten while I’m still alive. But she has a point. Every single one of my mother’s hundreds of offspring have had variations of her name or my father’s. Hathor and Horus (and pretty much everyone else) don’t even bother trying to remember my name. Therefore, here we have listed the top games and how the symbol has been used in them for many years.
