About this deal

This post tells us more about you than the game or the book. I write off anyone who calls the writers lazy and calls the game garbage because I automatically assume it's projection. Because of this, we believe this new book will detail the events of the conflict that happened over 20,000 years ago. As of the time of this post, all information we have on this book is the title, with no information on things such as who's narrating the story. I must return to my duties, but Queen Alexstrasza will meet you here in the antechamber,” Saristrasz said, almost by way of apology. “Keeper Tyr requested an impromptu audience with the Aspects after the ceremony, and they have only just arrived. I do not expect them to be long.” IGN can exclusively debut a new excerpt from the book, which is written by Courtney Alameda. Read on for a taste of the latest World of Warcraft adventure.

Fyrakk confronts Iridikron after Iridikron elevates Razsageth without consulting Fyrakk. Fyrakk says that if anyone should be the leader it’s him as he ascended first, Iridikron proceeds to sink Fyrakk into the ground almost drowning him in the earth, making Fyrakk accept him as the leader. Wow, how meta is this statement, in light of all the Bronze/Infinite Dragonflight shenanigans. When it comes to Warcraft lore, a lot of us lore nerds are akin to the Titans, insisting on the "ONE TRUE PATH!" and demanding the removal of any retcons and contradictions. The upcoming World of Warcraft companion novel War of the Scaleborn tells of the events that transpired 20,000 years ago after the defeat of Galakrond until its end with the imprisonment of all four Primal Incarnates. While the novel illuminates and expands on information that players have learned during the course of the campaign in Dragonflight, it doesn’t provide information on what’s next for the Dragonflights or the Incarnates in World of Warcraft. That said, there are some places and a few named dragons that are new in the book which could see a return in the future.Just read them and you won't miss anything. Reading is fun and the more books we can get the better. Yeah, I think arcane became too much connected with mages that while every titanic magic may be arcane in nature isnt manifested in the same way. Alexstrasza outright says that the Aspects may lose Keeper support if they don’t go with Tyr’s request. Neltharion’s reaction is to curl his lips, leaving it vague as to how he feels on the comment. This is great news for people who are hungry for Dragonflight lore as the expansion itself is winding down. I, an idiot, would have released this book earlier on. Uncover the full story behind the War of the Scaleborn in this official companion novel to World of Warcraft : Dragonflight . I'm all for them giving us more books. Some of their best lore was centered around the dragons and their history. I don't get why there is so much hate for books these days, do ya'll not know how to read? He is also the first one to ascend of the primal incarnates. Iridikron is the second. Razsageth is the third. Despite the efforts of the Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and her primal friend, Vyranoth, to preserve peace, both sides slip closer to violence, as dragons are forced to choose a side or be swept up in the growing conflict. With battle lines and allegiances drawn, the war amongst dragonkind shakes the foundation of the world. Both sides realize they will have to make sacrifices to secure the future of their kind, sacrifices that will cascade through the ages. [1] Characters [ ] Wowhead posted an article about an interesting new book Blizzard recently released titled, “War of the Scaleborn”. To quote from the article:Courtney Alameda is a novelist, comic book writer, and lifelong gamer. After almost fifteen years of writing professionally, there are few mediums, genres, and forms Courtney hasn’t had the chance to work in, though the novel remains her favorite. She started playing World of Warcraft in 2015 and has been a denizen of Azeroth ever since. The latest World of Warcraft novel, War of the Scaleborn by Courtney Alameda, details the origin of the enmity between the Aspects and the Primal Incarnates, the growth of power in dragon societies and the decisions that caused the schism between them, and the alien forces that meddled in, manipulated, and used dragons for their own purposes. The purpose of this book seems to be an explanation of the relationship between Alexstrasza and the enigmatic Vyranoth. Like an in-game cinematic, this novel does not stand alone. The reader is assumed to have historical and geographical knowledge of Azeroth and the Dragonflights, which can make it somewhat inaccessible to a new fan. To a new player, or a player new to lore and history, the geography of the world that the book is set in makes no sense. This story is set pre-Sundering, but the reader is expected to know this. Is that fair? Possibly. Many readers will be those who have read every one of the previous books and who know this history perhaps better than the writer herself. But many will not. That said, unlike an in-game cinematic, this book is not necessary to enjoy the story in the game. It provides more depth and detail for those who wish it, and an examination of long-time characters and newer ones alike. A mid-expansion book leaving more questions than answers? I wonder why. Is it potentially that those threads are left the way they are because we'll get more story in 10.2 and the already encrypted 10.2.5 on PTR?

Adult dragons in governing positions (such as the Aspects) over other adults dragons can force the other adult dragon’s young and eggs to undergo infusion/transition so long as the governing dragon decides it is in the best interest of the young/eggs.You are following unknown winds, my friend, and I worry for you,” Vyranoth said. “You are the most honorable of our kind, Alexstrasza. I loved you as you were, and it pains me to see you bow, to change yourself for another. From where I stand—admittedly, on the outside—I fear the keepers seek to exert control over you and your flights.” Maybe they finnaly actually got someone who know who to write, but i doubt she can milk gold from stone. Book is great if you're the kind of person to buy and read wow books. I thought it was one of their better stories. <3

Very interesting to see Vyranoth on the cover facing Alexstrasza. Looks like they're trying to set her and Alexstrasza up as being close (as clutch mates) who tried to avoid a full fight between both sides. Wonder if this is setting her up as seeing some benefits to the Titans and Alexstrasza and company learning that there were downsides of the Titans that were legitimate issues for the Incarnates. Comment by Papastrunf on 2023-06-14T12:27:07-05:00 In that line, I think we will probably uncover something about Tyr's experiments that would make Alex become corrupted. really another *!@#in book? can we please stop scuffing the games story for books i dont wanna have to watch a youtube video or buy a book for lore Despite the efforts of the Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and her primal friend, Vyranoth, to preserve peace, both sides slip closer to violence, as dragons are forced to choose a side or be swept up in the growing conflict. With battle lines and allegiances drawn, the war amongst dragonkind shakes the foundation of the world. Both sides realize they will have to make sacrifices to secure the future of their kind, sacrifices that will cascade through the ages.”In fact, eggs are probably just clumps of cells until they hatch and aren’t technically consciously aware before then, despite Wrathion’s claims to the contrary. Wrathion’s habit for aligning with conspiracy theories and crazy notions likely started with the elitists at Ravenholdt Manor, where he hatched out of his egg. On the other end of the age scale is the proto-Dragon Cysanz who plays a role in the final battle of the War. While alive at the end of the book, it is strongly suggested that due to his age he will not live much longer and almost certainly did not survive until modern times. Of course that’s just suggested, not factual, so Cysanz could make a return if someone on the development team thought he’d be a good fit. After 20+ years (even more if you count the RTS days) of constantly shifting/changing/retconning to the point where the foundation of the lore is built on Jell-O in an earthquake zone, I just can't care that much anymore. A year or two and a writer or three down the road and what was supposed to be the lore is now just "Someone's point of view." They even have the gall to sell you expensive "guides" that are labeled as "definitive" that they just slap the "alternate facts" label on a little down the road.
