There wasn't even any trust building but suddenly the FMC trusts the MMC implicitly.

I didn't mind the pacing even if it was uneven. But I did mind the "twists," that came out of nowhere. Maybe I'm wrong but I personally don't think a plot twist should come out of nowhere, it should be an "aha!" moment. The puzzle pieces need to come together, not be thrown onto the table at the last second. T.I. as Lukas Frye, cofounder of DollaHyde, a hip-hop fashion label. He was also a former drug dealer.

This author’s writing style reminded me of my own, so I felt cozy and at home. However, a lot of the events felt too drawn out. The need to constantly swap pov’s I think hinders the novel a bit making a singular scene go from edge of my seat thrilling to “how much longer is this chapter?” Overall, I think there is a lot of potential here. I just think it needs a bit of minor work.
