About this deal

I saw someone said they wanted a machine that could sew through 2 layers of fabric and batting so they could quilt. My response to that is this is not the machine you're looking for. Yes it can absolutely sew through that, but this machine is not for quilting. Yes you can piece a top with it, but the harp space is too small quilt anything bigger than a small lap quilt or a wall hanging and there's no walking foot and I don't think it can do freemotion but if it can, it's not going to be fun in that tiny space. Unlike most consumer goods these days, Janome sewing machines are manufactured in Taiwan/Japan. It's a sign of the quality from Janome. This one is made in Taiwan. Does this machine have an extra high presser foot?

Mechanical controls – this is an excellent feature that helps a user control the operation of the machine.

Being that this is heavy duty and mechanical I expect it will serve me for a couple decades of occasional use. And I could take this to a class because it's a lot lighter and more compact than the beastly 6700p. The foot storage in the top of the machine is wonderful, as is the visual sewing guide reference that shows you which foot to use with which stitch. Push –pull bobbin winder – helps the user control which helps the user to control the machine easier. I know that some sewing machines can be adjusted so the needle would run slower. Can this be done with Janome HD 3000? It’s especially the bobbin load mechanism and the adjustable presser foot that make the difference.

Although it's able to sew through many kinds of material, this sewing machine is actually on the quiet side. Any device with a motor is never going to be silent. Wow. I am impressed, delighted, thrilled and over the moon for my new sewing machine! To the point my husband has begun leaving the room when I start bragging about it! (;

The Janome HD300 can handle a wide variety of fabrics. Some of them are listed below: Lightweight fabrics: This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy.

Another great feature that usually isn’t seen in heavy-duty machines is a one-step buttonhole function. It makes it super easy to make custom, perfect buttonholes every single time. While digital sewing machines are often advanced and have some nice features, they are not without their pitfalls. One common problem is that the digital display can break, rendering your machine “out of service”.step buttonholes – the foot measures the actual size the buttonhole each time a buttonhole is sewed. Another issue is that the text itself is difficult to read. Many people who have used both but learned to sew on a mechanical machine, prefer the simplicity of the older style. They prefer hand dials to a touchpad or buttons. A great practical machine with a good range of utility stitches for general sewing plus two decorative stitches. The inclusion of an automatic needle threader is a real bonus. It’s neither heavy nor light. At 18.7 pounds, this isn't the lightest sewing machine on the market, although it's a whole lot lighter than the machines of yesteryear. Yes, it got a storage compartment built in near the bobbin holder. All the accessories fit into the storage area, which is extremely convenient.

While that would typically reduce the durability of a machine, Janome added the metal construction elsewhere on the machine: the gears. The Janome Heavy Duty HD3000 also known as the HD-3000. With its sturdy all-metal internal chassis, the HD3000 can handle all of your sewing projects. In fact, because of its reputation for dependability and ease of use, this machine has become Janome’s most well known and trusted model internationally. Probably the easiest to use machine we’ve ever made. Each stitch key has an LED light which is activated when you select one of the 30 direct select keys. The overall quality of the stitch produced by this machine is excellent. You get reliable, long-lasting, well-formed stitches you can count on - time after time. What kind of fabrics can it handle? Of course, you will pay a more for the HD3000, but that amount really isn’t significantly more than the cost of the Janome HD1000.It’s also pretty much a given that this will extend the life of your sewing machine. Treat your new sewing machine as a valuable tool, and you're much more likely to enjoy more years of reliable service from it. Can I use it for commercial purpose?
