Once programmed, brewing a great espresso is as simple as pressing a button and walking away, leaving you free to steam milk or prepare breakfast at the same time. Hello, great review ! I would like to add something about the 250ml boiler. It’s a Mokita and it is made for risretti. It’s not made for a 1/2 with 18gr because of it’s smaller boiler compared to the Rossi. Temperature from the Mokita boiler will not be stable with 36gr out. say "demi", you think Moore, you may be in this category. But don't let that get you down. This beginner's guide We do not recommend descaling this machine unless there is an issue with the espresso machine. Too much descaling can eat away at the metals and gaskets inside an espresso machine hastening replacement. I also thought that the Gaggia Classic would be the wiser choice, being a good machine to learn on. No harm in asking the question and getting few more opinions though. Also as you said if I decide to swap the Gaggia for a Lelit down the line I have the option of selling as it's a sought after machine.

Crema is the bubbly foam that sits on top of an espresso. It comes from the beans. When beans are roasted, carbon dioxide is a bi-product which becomes trapped in the beans. When you grind your beans and hit them with high pressure water, the CO2 dissolves in the water. When the coffee leaves the basket, the water (coffee) is super-saturated and the excess CO2 comes out as bubbles. The amount and color of the crema that you get depends on the beans that you use. Dark roasts tend to have more CO2 and a darker crema. Fresher coffee gets you more crema. The mixture of beans plays a part, too. Robusta beans give more crema because they hold twice the CO2 after roasting than Arabica beans. However, using just robusta beans for espresso probably won't taste very good.
