Pirate Funny Barrel is a fun game the whole family can enjoy. Who can put all their swords in the slots without waking the pirate? This was cute and fun. The illustrations are nice and the rhythm of the book is easy enough to find. The plot is pretty clear and it is well paced, this is probably one of the better books in the series. Though at the same time, the series is fairly repetitive in a way. How I Became a Pirate– A young boy named Jeremy joins Captain Braid Beard and learns the finer points of living a pirate life.

This book came into our household as a birthday gift for one of my children. It has since become a firm favourite. On the (slight!) chance that you haven't encountered this series yet, it is a must for the Kinder age-group.
