Several Pure digital radios can be upgraded to enable reception of DAB+ radio stations. Compatible radios are listed on Pure’s update centre. If your radio is listed you can enter the serial number to access the software for the update. The Pure One Elite Series 2 is listed as a radio for which an update is available. Use serial numbers codes with a consistent format that’s easy for humans to parse. Use dashes where you have separators. Maybe copy something familiar, like the 0000-0000-0000-0000 credit/debit card style. The manual for the Pure One doesn’t list a way to display the serial number. We’ve tried on our One Mi Series 2 and can only see the software version and the device identifier. If you still have the box for the radio the serial number may be displayed on the outside. Please note, if you have a very early model of the device listed above, a DAB+ update will not be possible due to the age.

The Pure One Mini Series II uses a single 3in driver, to handle the whole frequency spectrum. However, so do several of Pure’s larger classic models, including the Evoke 1-S and Evoke Flow. Just about but I have an Access file with an inventory of my property, including serial numbers, I tried reading the first one with my bar code reader but the barcode did not show all the digits when decoded. Pure premium internet radio spreads outstanding sound and good mood wherever you need the one or the other. Is the update available for my radio?

Ok, this isn’t it, this is that peculiar green one with the animation that looks like it was done in Flash (but isn’t) and the confusing menus/navigation. Now this is what we call a portable radio. Did you manage to read the serial number ok to get the upgrade? Mine is faded with only half the numbers readable. Aware that not all USB cables are created equal. Search in box for another. Curiously, seems to have a USB symbol on both sides, thus making it more of a pain to insert the correct way around. Test things before upgrading a product – e.g. remember to verify if a particular station/multiplex has good reception that day and in that location. I get the message about cable connection lost part way through the install process. I just tried again on a different PC with a different cable. It got to 50% I think? Hmm – mine has 6 numbers, 2 letters, but then a gap and 1 number at the end. Move radio around in light whilst squinting at barcode.
