About this deal

A fully wireless 30-watt amp that includes a bluetooth transmitter for your guitar. Boss’s Tone Studio app offers 50 effects with COSM modelling and impressive amp voices. Of course, you have heard it all before with regards amp integration blah blah, Bluetooth audio streaming yada yada... And sure, the Spark does all that. But the Spark can also analyse a song of your choice from Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube then transpose its chords so you can play along with it.

Simply put, I love the way this little amp sounds. It delivers excellent tone with plenty of beefy volume, and the Amp Type dial provides a nice variety of amplifier sounds. I particularly like the Crunch setting for playing leads, but think the Bass setting could be fatter. Controls are on top and include style channels (Acoustic, Hi-Gain, Metal, Bass and so on) along with the EQ and effects you’d expect from a standard guitar amp: Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master, Modulation, Delay, Reverb and Output. These are all adjustable manually, too, meaning you don’t always need the app to play around and create great sounds. Select a song from the millions available across a number of online platforms/libraries and Spark's app will show you the chords to songs, letting you play along in real-time. You can also loop individual sections or adjust the speed to learn at a tempo that is comfortable for you. There is a third-party option available, too, the Airstep from Xsonic, which is wireless and specifically designed for use with this amp – although I haven’t tried that. Spark Amp Auto Chords Ok, I received a new power supply unit this morning, 3-pins (German plug), grounded. No hum anymore, whatsoever. :-)The Spark app is also bundled with a redeemable code for the PreSonus Studio One Primerecording software. Spark Amp Tones PJD York Standard review: a new take on the Telecaster that feels alive in your hands and feather-light on your shoulder The finish is high quality and there is a leather removable carrying strap for porting it about (at 5.2 kg, it is very portable). There are channels to choose from – including bass and acoustic. The controls are familiar enough, with three-band EQ, gain, master and output. The MINI sounds incredibly detailed for such a small amp – it sounds clichéd, but it is a small wonder.” Turn on and connect your Spark amp to a computer using a USB-to-USB type B cable (we recommend using the one that comes in the box with the Spark amp). Keep in mind that the updater software should be started BEFORE plugging the Spark into the USB port.

You can design your own signal chain then save those choices into one of seven amp voices across the four preset banks. It might take a while; not because it’s difficult, but it is easy to get carried away with so many tonal possibilities. Hook the Spark up to your computer via USB and it as a recording interface. The amp comes bundled with PreSonus Studio One Prime recording software. If someone produces a comprehensive instruction manual they’ll do very well

Simply plug the Spark into your computer via USB to access its recording capabilities. With a free copy of PreSonus Studio One Prime included, you have all you need to get started. A best-in-class audio interface that transforms your computer or mobile device into a fully loaded dream guitar rig. RIFF is fully integrated with BIAS FX 2 – it’s everything you need for playing, recording, and practicing guitar. This is a paradigm shift for the digital desktop amplifiers. The Spark 40 makes you want to play more, and it has the tools to make you better. Even without that, it offers a great-sounding and tweakable digital amp experience, with recording capabilities too.It isn’t a perfect replacement for the effects pedals, though. Sometimes you just need that little stomp to switch from the clean to distorted channel, when playing Smells Like Teen Spirit, for instance. Playing along with a Smart Jam virtual band is fun and a great practice tool, and the Auto Chord feature does a remarkable job of displaying the correct chords from songs streamed from your library. I like that I can slow things down to practice the chord changes on parts of Jimi Hendix’s “Angel,” a song that I have always had trouble playing smoothly. The Spark is fully equipped with amp models designed for electric, acoustic and bass. A perfect solution for multi-instrumentalists and those looking to expand their musical horizons. But there is more to it than that. Positive Grid recognises one central truth about guitar players; most of us play at home. And they have kitted out this desktop amp to provide all the features you might want from your stay-at-home amplifier.

It might occasionally miss the odd chord, and it's not truly perfect yet, but it will help train your ear and make sense of what your favourite players are doing on record. That's a big part of learning guitar. The IOS/Android app can be controlled via voice command, freeing up your hands to keep playing and making your jam session a whole lot easier. When paired with the phone/tablet app you can select, and tweak, your guitar sound from thousands of presets, or load a preset for a specific song or artist, or play along with a video from a streaming service. The hype is real. The Spark is an incredible practice and recording amp, and it is very competitively priced. To be honest, we’d recommend the Spark at this price if that’s all it delivered, but once you factor in those smart features, each encouraging solo players to learn songs and stay inspired, there is no doubt that the Spark is a guaranteed home run. There are seven amp voices, which equates to to seven channels in the language of yore. You've got two for bass and acoustic guitars then Clean, Glassy, Crunch, Hi-Gain and Metal. There is a three-band EQ, gain, master volume and output. The effects each have their own dedicated controls so you can dial them in and out of your signal on the fly. This amp can really sound expansive and loud, with modelling tech that offers valve-like dynamics in a digital practice amp format
