So far as the story was concerned, I am fine with arranged marriages, but the FMC was so irritating with her incessant insecurities, bearing in mind her husband was already her best friend!Firstly what I have read of Catharina’s so far (Off-limits series) I have loved, but unfortunately, this story and trope was just not for me. It started off well, but then it just got way too repetitive, the over use of certain words started to really grate on me. I was excited to learn about Raven and her love story from when I met her in Bittersweet Memories, but my goodness in this book, I just felt she was whining all the time and just so wishy-washy, very frustrating! Why can’t female characters in books be more assertive and decisive lol. Lastly, there was basically no plot. Like, Ares and Raven didn’t actually do anything. Ares is a billionaire so I thought they’d do new couple activities together or go on extravagant trips. Or even just have some nice, everyday couple moments. Nope. Not the case. They just had the same argument and internal battle every other chapter until the end of the book. See that distraught looking woman who is having an unusually hard time ringing the doorbell?
