It had the main members of The Baby-Sitters Club represented in videos that played, which would introduce each feature. It took place in Claudia's room. The town is near Stamford, Connecticut. Several adults in the town commute to Stamford and Jessi Ramsey takes her ballet classes there.

The book mainly takes place at the New Jersey Shore called Sea City. The reason I say that is because Stacy and Mary Anne are babysitting the Pikes on their annual beach vacation. Stacy and Mary Anne bring the kids to the beach almost everyday because thats what they love even though they could get sunburn-like Mary Anne. If they don’t go to the beach then they go on the boardwalk. It also shows that it’s at the beach because Stacy is talking to a lifeguard that is looking over the ocean to see if he needs to go save someone or something. Lastly, since it is a graphic novel it shows you pictures of the beautiful beach settings. As a kid I LOVED the Baby-Sitters Club and would often spend hours scouring the library for the next title. Honestly, I probably read the series longer than I should have (reading level-wise), but it always felt like visiting friends. While I have never wanted to be a babysitter, I loved the club idea. As a bossy creative kid this was right up my alley. The friendships in this book was something I had always wanted. This was a series I grew up with and was my favourite for a long time. I actually read Boy-Crazy Stacey, BSC #8, because I've been listening to the Babysitters Club Club podcast and that book was perfectly fine, but this graphic novel winnows the chaff from Boy Crazy Stacey into a more focused, and more realistic, drama about beaches, boys and babysitting. The book “The Baby-Sitters Club” (Boy-Crazy Stacy) is a graphic novel by Gale Galligan and Ann M. Martin. It follows two girls named Stacy and Mary Anne that are enjoying their summer before they go to eighth grade next year. Stacy and Mary Anne are going on a vacation to the New Jersey shore together to take care of eight kids. When they go down to the beach Stacy is distracted by a boy named Scott so she goes to talk to him which gets Mary Anne annoyed because she has to take care of the kids by herself. Although Mary Anne is annoyed with Stacy she finds a boy also named Alex. Alex helps Mary Anne take care of the kids since Stacy isn’t helping. According to the illustration of Vanessa reading Ghosts, if you read the actual book, on the still where Catrina "Cat" (the protagonist) goes to the fountain at the Day of the Dead party, you can see Kristy, Mary Anne, Stacey, Dawn, Claudia, Karen, and David Michael in the crowd. In Raina Telgemeier's book Sisters, her teenage self's presents is "the newest Baby-Sitters Club book" for Christmas. The graphic novels are faithful updates to the original stories. They accurately retell the story, keeping the same themes and character dynamics. Anything that hasn’t aged well for modern readers has been removed or revised.

The graphic novels are perfect for those looking for a dose of nostalgia, want to introduce the series to a young reader, or are devastated that Netflix cancelled the live-action series after two seasons. This was another cute story with gorgeous illustrations. Now all I wanna do is go for a vacation at the fictional town of Sea city in New Jersey.
