About this deal

I loveee loveeeeee this book bcs Bill was ABSENT. I hate him when he kissed Sookie. Like dude, stay away. U cheated on her! Leave her alone, u cruel selfish vampire! Charlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over thirty-five years. A native of the Mississippi Delta, she grew up in the middle of a cotton field. Charlaine lives in Texas now, and all of her children and grandchildren are within easy driving distance.

I read each of these books (there are 7 in the box set) in about a 24 hour period. If I didn't have two rugrats that keep me pretty busy during the day I would have finished them earlier. The stories are dangerous and sexy, quite funny at times, and once I started one it was a challenge to put it down. Part of me was hoping that the last book in the box set was the last book in the series, since I would occasionally like to read something else, but when I got to the end of book 7 and realized that there is another book, I was just annoyed that I would have to wait to read it.

After I finished the first book I didn’t thought that the next one would be as good. But I was wrong. The next one was way better than the first one. Sookie asks Amelia to break her blood bond with Eric, which she does. Sookie learns Mr. Cataliades, having given Sookie's grandmother and grandfather some of his blood, is responsible for her telepathic abilities. Sookie sells some furniture to an antiques store where the owner, Donald Calloway, finds a secret compartment containing a letter from her grandmother and an object called a Cluviel Dor. Sookie's grandmother explains that the Cluviel Dor is a magical fairy love object which allows the possessor one wish and that it is now Sookie's. Sandra Pelt, Debbie's sister, hires people to kill Sookie, but they fail to do so. She then holds Sam and girlfriend Jannalyn Hopper at gunpoint, forcing them to take her to Sookie's house. Sookie shoots Sandra before Jannalyn kills her. Sookie, Eric and Pam plot to kill Victor and they succeed.

Dead Until Dark, published in 2001, is the first novel in Charlaine Harris' series The Southern Vampire Mysteries. It was adapted into True Blood 's first season. Sookie discovers that her boss, Sam is a shape-shifter when she lets a stray dog sleep beside her and finds a naked Sam in the morning. These are the books that the popular TV series "True Blood" is based on. Having already seen the show I found the books hard to get into at first. I already knew the plot for the first two books and found it difficult to make my own images of the characters without automatically seeing the actors from the show. Once I got over that I really enjoyed these books. The stories follow the same basic guideline as the show but with some major differences. After reading the books you can see that the writers for the TV show follow the storyline of the books quite loosely, while adding their own flair. I loved getting to know the characters better through the book, I completely fell in love with some characters that meant nothing to me in the TV show. MAKE ERIC CONFESS HIS FEELINGS FOR SOOKIE IN THE NEXT BOOK! I NEED THEM TO BE DATING BCS I LOVE ERIC SO MUCHHHH!!!By the end of the series in Season 7, Bill has been infected with the Hep V virus. Instead of taking a cure, he is resigned to die, and eventually convinces Sookie to stake him as he lies in his Civil War grave, giving him the "true death". Eric😍 u hot vampire 🥵 u made Sookie drink ur bood again! Three times!! U build the bond u wanted! ✨🦋 The next day, Sookie makes an excuse to visit Bill's house, but she finds he already has company: three other vampires and some of their "fang-bangers," humans who allow vampires to drink their blood. The vampires are wild and violent compared to Bill; they even try to feed on Sookie. However, Bill prevents them, saying, "She is mine." After the experience, Sookie takes some time away from Bill to decide if she really does want to become involved with vampires. Despite the dated outfits and the stereotypical characters, there are some really originat characters as well. Eric is a good character, as is Pam, Jason and Amelia. Sookie's ok...we would just not be besties... We all know Sookie is going to meet someone new, whether its a new supe or a new 'person' & the plot pretty much is the same: she's in trouble, she's out of trouble, she knows of trouble, or trouble is headed for her, but generally the same plot!

I’ll start out by saying that the three stars are for the writing, not the entertainment value. And I’ll be the first one to admit that I’ve given some atrociously-written books all sorts of stars, but I just didn’t in this case. These books were lots of fun, though. I don’t really have enough to say to review them all individually, so I chose this extremely convenient box set option which covers books one through seven. Sookie agrees for the benefit of Sophie-Anne to listen to the thoughts of humans at The Summit, attended by powerful vampires. Sophie-Anne is accused of killing her husband, though Sookie knows that she is innocent. Sookie discovers a bomb planted outside of the Louisiana suite and warns Sophie-Anne. At Sophie-Anne's trial Sookie helps to prove that Sophie-Anne's accusers are being manipulated. Sophie-Anne's child, Andre Paul, forces Sookie to exchange blood with him to try to tie Sookie to Sophie-Anne. Eric exchanges blood with Sookie to prevent Sookie being tied to Andre. This exchange with Eric causes Sookie to become more closely bonded to Eric. Sookie and fellow telepath Barry Horowitz, who met previously in Dallas, learn that multiple bombs have been planted in the hotel by the Fellowship of the Sun. Sookie and Barry help to get some humans and vampires free before the bombs detonate. Sookie and Barry discover that if they hold hands their telepathy is magnified and by doing this they help find humans buried in the rubble. Sookie finds Andre alive but Quinn stakes him to stop his intentions to use Sookie. Sophie-Anne escapes but loses her legs. Sookie rescues Eric, Pam and Bill. Her third book of eight novels in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries by Harris is three – bedrooms, one- corpse and in this novel, Aurora Roe Teagarden searches for her American dream piece and she decides to test the family business waters- real estate sales. But she is surprised to know that only one thing that is there is a naked dead body in the first house she comes to know. She later realizes there is more to real estate than she knows or thought when a second body shows up in another home.Bill, stop. It clearly that Sookie everything she had with u. Let her alone you asshole. Let. Her. Alone! Following his broken relationship with Sookie, Bill briefly dated a real estate agent named Selah Pumfrey. Bill makes it obvious that he still carries a torch for Sookie and continues to try to be involved in her life. So begins this series. I'm not going to lie and say these are some great literary accomplishment, but they're fun, light reads that are consistently entertaining. The characters are very likeable, and the mysteries are interesting and inventive. Boredom won’t be a problem here. Quinn is hot, but not my type. I really love how he takes care of Sookie and how he is risking himself for her. Bill Compton - First vampire in Bon Temps and Sookie's boyfriend. Bill is trying to mainstream (A vampire who is trying to live among humans and live as humans do or at least live in harmony with them.)

When Sam leaves, Sookie goes inside and finds Adele's dead body on the floor. Investigators assume that Sookie was the intended victim, but that Adele was the one at home when the killer arrived. After the funeral, Sookie turns to Bill for comfort, and they have sex. Sookie admits to Bill that she was molested by her uncle when she was a child. He responds by killing the uncle. Andy Bellefleur: Human and an insecure detective that feels he should be regarded with more respect. He is also a drunk. Alcide was such a nice boy and I’m feeling so so sorry for him, because Sookie didn’t started dating him. But I hope in the next books Sookie will meet Alcide again and they will become closer. For example: Bubba. We all know who Bubba is don't we? But the secrecy of bot saying his name is so (dare i say it) suspenseful!Though I'm not exactly proud of the fact, I will admit that I recently finished reading this 10-book series in about 8 weeks. For other TrueBlood fans who may be considering diving into the books, there is enough of a departure to keep the story interesting. The first few books are fun to compare against the TV series (perhaps that's why they were easily my favorites). While certainly far from great literature, the series was entertaining and helped keep my mind off some stressful things going on in my life. So, a good diversion.
