About this deal

In my experience, it is an easy installation that takes about twice the time than a typical polymeric sand installation. I was certainly happy with the installation and the permeability of the product, especially for open graded bases. In tighter joints, it requires more patience to get the grains into the joints and may require a compactor to be able to achieve this or a thin tool to push it into the joints. A lot of water is required in the installation of this product and it is much easier with two or more people. A squeegee and / or soft bristle broom is required. To further aid this, "point" or "strike" the joint; do not leave it textured. This ensures the top of the filler is below the top rounded edge of the paving and helps it adhere to the base and sides of the paving material.

Unfortunately the delivery company will be unable to remove items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them and delivery will be made to the kerbside. Polymeric sand cannot be installed in the rain. This is where this product shines. Early or late in the season, we see a lot of rain and colder temperatures making it extremely difficult to wrap up projects and get paid. However, this can be installed in these conditions allowing you to wrap projects up for your clients and get paid. Smooth the joints:when drained and dried, lightly "point" or "strike" the joints with a suitable finishing tool Driveway Jointing Mortar - High Strength Epoxy Resin Paving Grout - suitable for vehicle areas up 3.5 tonnesEASYJoint is the UK's top-selling paving jointing compound, favoured by professionals and DIY installers all around the world. This product was first developed in 2009 and has now evolved to meet user demands and keep up with the latest trends in the industry. The EASYJoint family now has 9 products within the range. That being said, there is no haze issue that you may get with polymeric sand and it is a much easier product to install in terms of the potential for failure. It is most definitely the perfect product for the applications listed above and in some cases can be superior to polymeric sand as long as the base is free-draining.

Since beginning our business, we have relied on polymeric sand as the product of choice for our jointing compound. It is not without its cons, but as long as you follow the directions carefully and the conditions are right, polymeric sand is a good option for paver joints. However, there are other choices that have their applications as well. In this article, we will be highlighting a semi-permeable jointing compound from Azpects called EASYJoint. Continue to move the jointing compound around the surface filling the joints to 1/8″ below the top of paver or bottom of chamfer. The result of using EASYJoint, to joint your paving, will be a paving gap that is completely filled without the need for kneeling and compressing the material by hand that will last for years. A strong joint that will resist the elements and stand the test of time - better than traditional jointing methods. Technically advanced: Years of research and continuous development of our jointing compound makes this a market leader. We sell tens of thousands of EASYJoint tubs every month throughout the UK and in Europe. Similar to the above systems, paver base panels have drainage holes in them and when installed with High Performance Bedding below, this system allows water to flow through it and into the subgrade following a slope out of the system. • Early or Late in the SeasonMaintain the Width of Joint Throughout. Maintain at least a 3mm gap width throughout the depth of the paving material. Never have this type of paving butted together. See photograph.

EASYJoint is a very effective, super fast and aesthetically pleasing way to fill/complete joints between paving materials including slabs and pavers for example. I found that the shower or vertical setting on the hose nozzle works well with the installation of this product. When finishing the joints, a jointing tool may smooth out the surface of the joints to give a more pleasant look to the finish. The product should sit 1/8″ below the surface of the paver or bottom of the chamfer, whatever is lower. Smooth the joints: when drained and dried, lightly "point" or "strike" the joints with a suitable finishing tool Using small quantities of EASYJoint, simultaneously spread and wash the compound across the surface using a light jet of water and a broom/squeegee, allowing it to fall into the joints EASYJoint is the original sweep-in all-weather jointing compound and still the best truly "All Weather Paving Joint Compound". Do not be fooled by other paving jointing compounds making similar claims. Azpects sells tens of thousands of tubs of EASYJoint every month to satisfied customers all over the Europe and North America.

Easyjoint can be used in wet or dry conditions and is sold in a 12.5kg tub which will cover an average of 7m² depending on slab size and joint width. Open the container, rip the bag open, and pour it onto the paving surface. Immediately wet the jointing compound. We like to use a mixture of the shower and horizontal setting on the hose nozzle to move the jointing compound around the paving surface. Pre-wet the pavers or slabs and begin to work in small 100 square foot areas to install the jointing compound and pre-wetting the next 100 square foot area when you move onto it. You do not want to install this jointing compound onto a dry surface. Some concrete paving is made in moulds and has chamfered edges creating a 'V' shaped joint between two paving slabs, wider at the top than at the bottom. This gap shape can be the most challenging to work with and we recommend you carefully follow the instructions below.
