The Saitek Yoke is heavy and would not simply sit on a table devoid of clamping. This is mainly because it has a metal cast aluminum compared to other yokes that have plastic casings. The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System, extravagant naming aside, provides a simple but comprehensive setup for either beginners or seasoned pilots. The yoke, accompanying throttle quadrant, and wealth of ancillary switches and inputs each ensure complete control, from critical flight surfaces to lights and landing gear.

Alloy YK1 Yokehas a long base and requires clamping to a table. Mounting in itself wasn’t half as hideous as mounting the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke. You can either mount it to the top of your desk or underneath it. In either case, you will end up losing desk space. I am not really a fan of over-sized gaming accessories, but in this case, I don’t really mind. The Yoke flawlessly scales a real Plane Yoke and is the closest thing to the real deal. Also, you’ll experience an easy USB installation, without drivers, for your Macintosh and Pc. Further, the device comes with 144 programmable functions.

Flight Sim Yoke has all the essential functionality of a Yoke- 5– axis motion, thrust levers, an 8-way POV Hat Switch, and as many as 144 assignable functions. If you are a beginner, that’s the sweet spot. The Yoke will serve your purpose without overwhelming you. The Saitek Yoke has an aileron action where you will hear a big bump when you move through the center. However, there is a clear and quiet notch at its center, just like when you move in the pitch axis. The ergonomic grips have a great in-hand feel, so you can fly for hours and hours without strain. Mounting isn’t a problem either. The flight controller offers 2 mounting options: First, the Flight Sim Yoke is fabricated for general aviation for games such as X plane and FS X or professional flight simulators like the X plane Pro. Once you have it mounted, you will proceed to the setup stage. It is as easy as it gets, as the Yoke has a plug and play compatibilitywith Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A unique feature of the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke is that the candle can travel 90 degrees in every direction. The Yoke doesn’t need driver installation, so once you have secured it on your table-top, you are good to go. Unlike some other systems, this one doesn’t directly map buttons, but this should hardly take a few minutes. This may seem like an exaggeration, but I have never used a more accurate Yoke. Central detent is almost non-existent. The entirety of yoke distance seems linear. Also, you can roll all the way to the left or the right. All of this leads to precise movements. Unlike the Saitek G Pro Flight Simulator Yoke, this Yoke doesn’t exaggerate inputs.

The three-position switch in the Yoke will enable you to assign a 2 nd and 3 rd function to every button.
