It’s more expensive than the corded Henry and doesn’t have the longest run-time, but the strong suction and large capacity mean it’s much better suited to heavy cleaning than most cordless models. The Harry is the best in the range for cleaning up pet hair. It comes with a special brush attachment meant to lift hair and an activated charcoal filter which will draw out dirt and neutralize foul smelling pet pongs. Where do Henry Vacuums come from? The head of the family, Henry is certainly the most well known cleaner from the range. First introduced in 1981, Henry’s smiling face has been helping people to clean their homes ever since. Traditionalists will tell you this is the best Henry you can get, and if you’re looking for a reliable and affordable vacuum it’s hard to argue with this view. There’s actually two main models of this Henry, the Henry Hoover 160-11 and the Henry Hoover 200-11. The main difference between the two is the 160-11 has a bag capacity of six litres, whilst the 200-11 has a larger capacity at 9 litres. The good news is that the lower suction is partly counteracted by the EcoBrush tool – at least for smaller cleaning jobs. This is a small tool with a brush for agitating hairs and dirt from carpets, which improves cleaning performance. It’s not suitable for cleaning large areas though. There’s also a number of different Henry versions, including the popular Henry Xtra, Henry Allergy, Henry Pet, Henry Eco and Henry Micro. There’s even now a Henry Cordless option too. Suction is reflected in two ways with the Henry vacuum cleaner range. It is either a result of the maximum energy outage that the model in question has, or it is marked as a class rating. For example, the class rating of the Harry pet hair removing Henry is a Class C. If you want maximum suction, you have to go for bigger numbers. So where the Harry is a 620 w, the basic Henry has the option to go up to 1200 w. This will have more suction power. Most of these machines have only one or two controls. An off/on switch and the cord winder. They may have a high/low setting (like the traditional Henry) and they may have a wet/dry setting (like the George).
