About this deal

Because of course life always has a plan and her unforgettable mystery man is non other than the starting defenseman of the team !! Two months after Rachel and Jake share a hot as hell night in Seattle (𝘨𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵), she starts a new job as a fellow sports doctor for a new NHL team in Florida. Seems like enough to fill a book, right? But it doesn’t stop there lol. Rachel starts treating another player on the team (Ilmari aka Mars) off the books so he can have a shot at the Finnish Olympics, and sparks fly AGAIN!! This girl is something else, right? 😂 My name is Rachel Price, and two months ago, I walked away from the perfect man. We shared one magical night. No names. No strings. I never thought I'd see him again. I was wrong. I didn’t mind Mars (loved the Finnish) but I wasn’t in love with him. He felt very random. Like Rachel just wanted another guy and she would’ve added more if she felt like it. I did like his story with Rachel helping him with his injury and getting recruited to the Finnish Olympics. Even though the group ends up meshing pretty well together, Mars still felt like the odd man out.

About Rachel's past, everything has been told within a couple of paragraphs and then that's it, conflicts are just based on that. Basically, it was apparently she had history with bad press and she wanted to protect the boys from it. Got it. But, it felt like a lot of tell, no show. She goes to lots of away games and to some other places with guys in public, but somehow she never faced the press eyes until the end. So, that became a little unbelievable. As far as the leading lads go, Mars was my favourite. I felt like he fostered a more meaningful and careful connection with Rachel, whereas the other two have a lot to figure out between themselves and I think that Rachel, for want of a better phrase, ends up as more of a vehicle for them to connect. There were a few occasions where I felt a little uneasy about how Rachel was spoken about. But from her perspective, you’re not left in any doubt over whether she’s happy or not. She’s on board with what’s happening, and I guess that’s the important thing to note. Rachel, Jake, Caleb and Mars have their own journey and there's depth to each of them, but they also grow and learn with each other. Also, they never went on dates....Um, okay 😅 And, why was Caleb hesitant about having kids? No idea. Why did he stiffen when Jake was all excited about having kids with Rachel? Like, what am I suppose to understand by that body language? Jealousy? Because, this was before their confession.I finished this a few days ago, but I've been sitting on writing a review because I just couldn't find the right words to describe just how AMAZING this was!! Caleb, the moody hot af queer, 4 times pierced *there* Daddy, also known as the equipment manager of the team. I had expected the romance between Jake and Rachel, because it’s where this whole thing started. But it was a whole lot more than that. Team with Ilmari aka Mars as goalie, the complex Finnish (teddy)bear with a big heart to match his 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 big "heart" lmao

Review: This book was WOW on the spice ya’ll!!! I didn’t really know what I was walking into. I read the prequel novella and LOVED it, but it did NOT prepare me for this lol. Rachel fell in love with them all starting with Jake, Caleb and then Ilmari. She accepted them from the start and understood what each one needed. She helped them through their hurdles as individuals, allowed them to accept things on their own terms and in their own time. She openly loved them and accepted everything about them. Author here 👋🏻 Thank you so much to each and every person leaving an honest review. Authors are nothing without their readers/reviewers, especially indie authors, who rely so heavily on word of mouth. I laughed throughout this book. It is such a feel-good book. I just had so much fun reading it. I liked that Rachel has a different relationship with each man. That they were able to build a family together without jealousy coming between them. I loved that each man brought something different to the relationship and that each one got something from the others. They build a strong cohesive unit. It truly is a all for one and one for all. There's was a few cringe moments and times I rolled my eyes from the OTT lovey dovey statements that seemed to happen too often toward the end, but overall I loved the spice, the relationships and the humour. I can't let those small OTT moments take away from rating this book as a whole!Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. I am in love with all four of them and this storyline! There is so much banter, making moment’s hilarious enough to make me cry. There is so much love and longing that your heart will break and patch itself up over and over. So much 🌶️ and ❤️…. Incredible😭🤌🏼

Two, same time Mars said he wanted to see how she is with the other two, and he didn't mean sex. But, then yup she let's Caleb touch her and wanted Mars to watch. Sure Mars contented but I feel Caleb came off too strong on him, and Rachel didn't even say anything. But, that's not the main thing though. Same scene extends to Jake joining them, and nobody asks Mars to consent whether or not he wants to watch. But, Caleb just goes on bossing them for more.

Caleb; Thoughtful, Kind, Over thinker, determined, Loving and Loyal. This man puts everyone else fist despite losing everything he ever loved. He let go of his anger and put all of his trust in both Rachel and Jake to only fall in love with both and making them his family, Ilmari included. I loved when Rachel had to meet with the General Manager. I laughed when the GM shows her the folder he has on her and tells her how hard she is making his job. I liked that her family supported her through it all. I liked that the rest of the team supported her, Jake, Ilmari, and Caleb. Also, I get that this was instalove, but there were some moments where I wished there was some conversations at least, instead of just oh, she knows me, I know her. Like not all the time maybe. One more thing I wasn't happy about was the family life, say somewhere around 80% of the book gets over and then we meet the twin and her family. She talks about Price family comes first, but there was no conversation between them for a good chunk of the book, at least to the readers.

This is my chance to prove myself, and I’m not risking it for anything. But with one unexpected night, one secret revealed, these men are ready to test all my limits. I can’t fall for a player…let alone three. But if love is a game, these guys are playing to win. That said, it does enough. It’s a long read (as I’ve mentioned… many times) but I don’t think that should deter you if you’re into your sports romances. They navigate their feelings and this new dynamic, facing their fear and wants while building their relationship together and with each other. I LOVED Jake so much. He was so fun and hilarious and brought a lot of positivity to the group. Probably my favorite because he was first, and I’d wear his sweater any day. I also really loved his bi-awakening with Caleb. So sweet (and spicy, let’s be honest) to see. I did feel like his character kind of fell off towards the mid point. He started out very confident and then just became super needy. Absolutely loved That One Night Jake though! Two moments, I wish was written differently : One, Rachel shouldn't have outed Caleb and Jake to Mars, no matter the situation. It just wasn't her place to do, especially since Jake didn't even realise it then.Jake Compton – the golden retriever defenseman who loves ice cream and bird watching. Also best friend to Caleb. When Rachel started having feelings for Mars, she had a conversation with the other two guys, which made sense because she was in relationship with them. So, she had to know if they were comfortable with Mars joining the harem. But....when Jake and Caleb get together, there was no conversation. It was just, oh she knows me that's it. I wish Jake spoke to Rachel about that.
