About this deal

She was fine to play with it, as I explained she couldn’t pull any of the parts and she had to be careful. She was fully supervised and we managed to evolve Rizmo again to the adult form!

When you first open Rizmo it is in a baby form. It has two coloured eyes, a button on the nose and two feet which allow it to move up and down. How many settings does baby Rizmo have? The length of time it takes to evolve Rizmo depends on how you play with it. You will need to have recorded a minimum of 15 things and collect musical points through play. I managed to evolve mine from baby to kid in 15 minutes, it then took an additional 25 minutes to evolve it into adult mode. However if you fail to interact with it properly while it is evolving then you need to start again. How do you play with Rizmo in kid mode? Rizmo is for ages 6 plus although children at the younger age may need help to evolve Rizmo as it does take some patience. What batteries does Rizmo need? When you are ready to stop playing with Rizmo you can swing him to sleep. Don’t forget to turn him off at his base to give him a real rest. Rizmo is an interactive toy that can play 7 fun games with you. When you unbox him he is in baby form. He has to evolve twice to become fully grown. To make him evolve from a baby to a kid and then to finally fully grown you have to play with him. Every time you play with him you win a musical point. To be able to evolve Rizmo will need to collect 25 musical points and 15 recorded songs. Recording songs is one of Rizmo’s games. Baby RizmoThe instructions were very clear and it was great to see a toy that actually worked and did as the instructions said! It also has different modes, as discussed depending on the eye colour but this wasn’t excessive, so it wasn’t a toy that was too complicated. Kid Rizmo has a tail and a bigger tummy that you can see move when he is going to sleep. He plays the same games in this mode as he does in baby mode. Continue to feed him songs and play with him so that he will be able to evolve again for the last time. The Final Evolution – Grown-Up Rizmo We left Rizmo for a little while and me and her younger sister (who is three, fully supervised) to have a play and try and evolve Rizmo to an adult. You repeat the same stages as above to get Rizmo to evolve again. To choose the game you want to play you must press the button on top of Rizmo’s head. Change his eyes to the required game and swing him down to confirm. He will confirm your selection by saying ‘Ready Go!’.

It is tempting to want to pull on him when he is a baby and toddler as parts of him move but don’t open but the instructions says really clearly, do not do this!! So we didn’t. We waited for him to evolve. I think the adult form of Rizmo is really sweet and I liked how he danced and moved about. I quite liked his little sulks too, as he seemed like a little child getting stroppy!! Makes him quite endearing. Have you heard of Rizmo? He is a cute musical friend who has travelled very far to get to Earth. He has a love for music and dance but needs help to evolve. I first saw Rizmo when I went to Dream Toys in November. He was announced as one of the top 12 toys this Christmas. Tomy asked if Little E would like to review one and put him to the test. I knew she would love to know what he could do. Rizmo has three forms: baby, toddler and adult and you help him to evolve from one to another. He loves to get to know you and responds to touch, motion and sound. Once Rizmo has grown up fully he canrecord and play songs, and imitate music. It really is a musical toy, so great for children who love to sing and enjoy listening to different instruments. You can see from the below picture we actually had Rizmo the wrong way up!! We didn’t realise it should almost lie down for a little while when we were first playing with it. Overall I liked Rizmo. He worked! He’s original and at his current price, he is worth that. He has a lot of loveable characteristics and can be cared for. I like the musical side, as allows children to be creative too. It starts as a baby, which looks like a large cuddle ball with coloured eyes. It is quite cute and it sounds very cute!! Obviously we wanted to start to make Rizmo evolve to a child and to do this you have to feed him with music. A bell dings after you have played a game so you know you have a musical point. Rizmo Colour Meanings Instead of Rizmo’s eyes changing colour in grown-up mode, his chest changes colour. Just like in baby mode use his head button to confirm the game you wish to play with him, not forgetting to swing him down to confirm. In grown-up mode, you can play all the same games as in baby mode but you have two extra choices.

Little E absolutely loves her Rizmo, from baby form to the fully evolved grown-up she has loved interacting with it. She loved the challenge of collecting enough music points and singing songs for him to save. I think it took her about three days of completing tasks to make him a full grown-up.

The Sydney Morning Herald

When fully evolved Rizmo has a light-up stomach and has gained two new play modes and he can also get very grumpy. The two new play modes are Pink which is dance mode and light blue which is a colour game. Rizmo can also get grumpy if ignored so you need to give him lots of love and attention. Can Rizmo be evolved again?
