Much of this book is a meaningless stream of new age, and occasionally scientific-sounding, language. It takes credulity to a new level. Zukav seems to believe in every mystical speculation throughout the cultures and ages--gods, angels, demons, Jesus, garden of Eden, souls, reincarnation, karma, pantheism, law of attraction, aliens, chakras, astrology, ghosts. There is no silly idea he won't take seriously, treating them as not only compatible with each other and with science, but treats science as if it provides evidence for it all. The plants and trees in the outer gardens of the world cannot move or act on their own. They cannot talk, so they cannot ask for what they want. They cannot walk, so they cannot go out on their own to get what they need. They are planted in one place with no ability to communicate, move, or take action. They are at the mercy of Nature and God. Yet, everything is provided for them. God provides them with soil, sunlight, air, and water. Whether they are in a tended garden or out in the wild, God has provided for them for ages. If God can provide for every blade of grass on this planet, can’t we trust that God is going to provide for us also? When you take the time to cultivate a feeling of love in your own life, that feeling will expand out to others. Love multiplies the more you give it.
