First off, it has a slightly downgraded 4R35 movement. While not technically as good as the Seiko SARB’s 6R15 movement, the 4R35 movement has the upside of being more affordable, and common. This means it’ll likely be cheaper to have the watch serviced than its 6R15 counterpart. But over time, like most other things about this watch, not only did they grow on me, but I began to appreciate them more and more. That’s why I’ve bought this same exact watch THREE times. The Final Verdict I also like the case design better on the SNKL45, albeit I haven't seen the SNKL23 in person so that could change my opinion about the watch overall. The only thing I prefer on the latter is perhaps the second hand, which isn't red. I might grow to like the red second hand more if I had the watch for a while, who knows. It even has 200m water resistance, yet another functional improvement over the SARB, making it even better for everyday wear.

If there is a SNKL45K1 or SNKL45P1 it is made elsewhere in Asia, does not say "Made in Japan" on the dial and is more likely to have Spanish as the second language for the day. It keeps decent time, it can take a beating for years and years without needing a service and is extremely affordable. In fact, their modern Prospex Alpinist lineup is some of my favorites yet. If you’re someone who loves the versatile nature of the SARB, but wants something a touch more sporty, the Seiko Prospex Alpinist SBDC087 will certainly speak to you. I also wasn’t a fan of the all polished case of the SNXS79, and how easily the mineral crystal smudged up and looked ‘dirty’ from fingerprint smudges all the time (little did I know, sapphire crystals can be WORSE about this sometimes). When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge! What I didn’t realize at the time was that a smaller watch is actually classier and more versatile, as it’s more subtle and discreet. I own both the SARB033 and the Star RE-AU0004B00B, and despite the fact that the SARB was known for its finish and attention to detail, side-by-side, the Orient Star’s level of finish is even more refined. It doesn’t last for an extremely long time, but fades out gradually and helps the watch be more legible in the dark and at night. Folded Link Bracelet

As my appreciation for watches (and my watch collection) grew, I began to appreciate the little aspects and nuances of a watch, more. This is generally a very simple procedure. We can do this for you, or you can get the watch adjusted locally. Option 1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent Because you asked for opinions, I'll give you mine, but ultimately the decision is for you to make. The two watches are quite similar and I suppose they are so in pricing as well (?). They both have the same movement, same handset and similar overall design. I personally like the simpler design of the SNKL45 dial with a uniform texture on the dial and no framing on the day-date complication. The lume on the "inner" side of the indices also looks better in my opinion and works better with the lume on the handset which doesn't reach all the way to the tip of the hands, making the SNKL45 more legible in the dark as the lume pips are closer to the lume on the handset, if that's of any concern for you. The pips, however, look slightly bigger on the on the SNKL23 so they might glow better and longer but I don't really know if this is the case. It doesn’t really compare to the Seiko 5, even though they cost about the same. It’s just a different style. Invicta Pro Diver 8928OB vs. Seiko 5 SNXS79I think the brushing on the bracelet kind of looks out of place – like it doesn’t belong on this watch. Especially since there are absolutely no brushed surfaces on the case to tie the look together.
